Oh thank you so much, reut! I love his performance there, especially the added part where he pretended to be dancing with someone. Such beautiful edges and musicality. He has such an ice dancer look about him and just keeps growing as a skater. It's so lovely!

Marlin - thanks for posting all the informations about the show in China! I do appreciate it very much. Had to smile about your sense of humor as you wrote: "China is probably for most of you only slightly nearer then Mars"... - . Hope the best for a lot of Stéphane's fans to have the chance to watch him live in Bejing.

Thank you, reut. It's interesting, as Johnny Weir will skate his 'Heart Broken' there, which in my opinion is quite similar to 'Ne me quitte pas' in it's mood and style (not just because they are both dressed in simple, black clothes, although it adds to the similarity of the mood).

Looks like here is a little about Stéphane's arriving to Beijing today. sports.xinmin.cn/2010/08/31/6579883.htmlTried to read it with google translation, but you know how hopeless it is... Help needed. Anyway google translation said that he was in good mood, was wearing a leisure suit with jeans and was handsome.

rough translation, if anyone would be interested and sorry for my not-so-parfait English Two times world champion Stéphane Lambiel - known as "lord of spins" - arrived in Beijing this afternoon. He is a guest star for "Artistry on Ice (aka S/Z's wedding on ice)" show and is also the first one who arrived in Beijing (among other skaters overseas). Born in Swizerland, Lambiel is a talented skater. He competed in SLC olympics and finished 15th when he was only 17. He was the world champion in 2005 and 2006 and was the silver medalist in Torino four years ago. This year, he finished 4th in Vancouver, only missing the podium. He announced his retirement in March, stated that he would not compete anymore and would only focus on galas. He was invited for performing in "artistry on ice" as a guest star among other skaters as plushenko, Johnny Weir and Mao Asada. Lambiel arrived at Beijing Capital Airport at 12:40. Through the VIP channel, he finally appeared at 13:05. Despite the long flight, he looked fairly good, wearing a leisure suit, a shirt and jeans. Several fans gave gifts to him, which made him very happy. He also gracefully satisfied the fans, posed for photos with them. After the long journey, Lambiel didn't stay longer in the airport (ed. as far as i know, he stayed in Starbuck at the airport for a while). He is not going for training right after his arrival. This afternoon, he will stay in the hotel and take a rest.
