Dear Sicoola warmest welcome to the board. Thank you so much for taking the time to write an English version of your Opera on Ice blog. Your English is excellent! My favorite part of your story is this: Stéphane Lambiel - to follow - is a true champion and a great performer, one of the best this sport has ever had. Skating to La Donna Mobile he’s ironic, he jokes with the audience and puts some of his technical pearls. Above all the spins, who are his spins, Lambiel ones: the world's best, simply. The audience loves him, and it’s just his first performance. I also enjoyed your story of Sandou feeling shy about his shirtless picture on the big screen. Reading about these things helps everyone to feel your excitement and imagine how it felt to be there. Grazie mille!

Do I understand it right - is Stephane really called a "teen idol" in this short article about 'Golden Skate Awards' - www.quotidianopiemontese.it/2011/10/09/golden-skate-award-al-palavela-fotogallery/? If so, then it's really one of the silliest things that I've read about him . Sure, there are really young girls among his fans, but most of us here aren't teens, and many other fans aren't either. Besides, it would be really hard to call Stephane's art teenager oriented.

He also talked about that in the small interview after his skate.

Thank you very much, sicoola, for your report.
A standing ovation for Stephane... He totally deserves it. And it would have been wonderful to be in the audience too. It's a great feeling to be among people who appreciate the same thing you do.

Than to all of you for your wellcome. It's been a plasure translate for you. About the article from "quotidianopiemontese" I guess the point is italian journalist don't know so much about about figure skating... for example, they still say Carolina Kostner is a young girl and everybody here knows she's a young woman but not very young as a figure skater.. so they find stephan good looking and not so old, so they say he's a teen age idol... it's sad, but they can't say nothing more...
