O.K. Second go for the interview in Rapperswil:
Moderator: Stephane, you've just been touring with AOI. But you are top fit, you are not tired?
Stephane: No, not tired, not at all (he smiles and the way he says it shows he means the opposite).
It's true. We had almost a month with shows for AOI. In Zurich, Lausanne, Davos, St. Moritz, but also Stockholm and Helsinki.
We came back from St. Moritz some 24 hours ago. I arrived in Rapperswil yesterday evening, went for a walk along the lake and had been to church. It is always nice to skate here in Rapperswil, the spectators are unbelievable. (Gets applauses).
As I said: AOI is a very huge production, but the organizers here in Rapperswil did a very good job. The welcome here is always very warm. So thank you and see you next year.
Funny, Stephane wants to end here, but the moderator asks him to hold on as they are not finished yet. Big laughs.
M: (Stephane), you will skate a second time later, but I still want to talk with you for a short moment. You have seen all those small children, some only three years of age. You started (to skate) very early too. What now seems to be so light and easy was very hard work to achieve. Tell us, you had to get up early in the morning and your mother brought you to the training. Tell us how hard this was.
S: Shurely there are many parents here in the audiance who also bring their children to the ice rink. They know how difficult it is to train every day, to fall but continue nevertheless, with joy and passion. It is a difficult sport, even though it might not be seen, but I think you all know. It is nice when it looks light and easy, but the way to achieve this is long. I do it for 21 years now and hope for longer ... for you (applauses).
M: Yes, we hope for a long time to come.
Now you will go into show business a bit, off the ice. You will be circus director in 'das Zelt'. Tell us, what will you do exactly?
S: The opening night will be on march 16th. I will have some days off now. But then we start with the rehearsals. As a circus director I will combine rock music with circus. It will be humorous but also 'rock', something quite new for me. I hope we will meet in Lachen on march 16th then.
M: Great, we are looking forward to it. You can already warm up for it now: Next, a skating friend of yours will come to the ice. I want to ask you to announce him right now in your role as circus director.
S: Ok. Now somebody very special will come. We just had three weeks of shows together and I was really thrilled when he was on the ice. He is a superstar, he comes from France, he is very, very nice and cute.
Here is: Florent Amodio!
I find it funny to see: Stephane talks more to the crowd than to the interviewer. He really is into his role as entertainer already
.
Other funny detail:
I heard that Florent was interviewd after his performance too.
That after some questions the moderator told Flo that Stephane seemed to be a bit shy sometimes and asked if he - knowing him better - had this impression of him too. That Flo answered: Don't worry, in the backstage Stephane is everything but shy.
