Wow, i go away for a couple of days and what amazing news! (It took me a while to spot it as i was looking in the photos and articles thread d'oh!)
I think this will make a very interesting Olympic competition and i totally agree that it won't just be a two way duel between Plushenko and Steph. Exciting none the less, but i think the olympic silver and the famous zebra costume will always stick in my mind, i wonder how he can top that performance, but i can't wait to see it!

I tried with pia's software. Unfortunately my streaming is not good today and it has small disturbing pauses all the time... Though I would really love to have this video, because it's the only one I can understand.

Surprise, surprise - finally something from Icenetwork. Considering they report everything about Lysacek and Chan, the two annointed favourites from North America, even if they only scratch their noses - I was starting to think they wanted to ignore the return of the most artistic skater of his generation.

sirjames, almost all the Russian sport sites "woke up" only today in the evening. This is actually sad. I mean, I understand that for me this is THE EVENT of the off-season, but this is rather objectively a huuuuge news...

Here is the clip to download Interview in French (07.26.2009)www.mediafire.com/?hwd00jyy3tiI love when he says "j'ai faim, j'ai envie" when he explains his goal for Vancouver. His eyes are just shining! BTW, I'm glad Stéphane will skate to classical music for his SP, since I recently realised he skated rarely to classical piece when I was thinking about the program he will show in Korea in August. I heard that the themes of the show are "classic" for the first part and "modern" for the second one (If I'm wrong, correct me please..) so I tried to remember his program correspond to the theme for the 1st part, but surprisingly, I couldn't find any other one than "Four seasons"! After that, I was a little bit saddened since the chance to see him skate to some classical music was not big as he'd retired. So now, I'm glad

Ditto. I'd been hoping Stéphane would use classical music again someday. He's also done Tosca, btw. So that takes the count to... two. If he's already picked out his music, perhaps he's also had some time to work on choreography. Any chance we'll see it in Korea, you think? Four Seasons is great and all, but I'd love to see something new! Just for fun, anyone want to start classical music speculation/suggestions? What do you see Stéphane skating to? I've had some ideas in the past, but I think I'll think about it some more.

Because we already know something about Stephane's programs for the Olympic season maybe we should start a thread "Programs 2009/2010"? What do you guys think?

Because we already know something about Stephane's programs for the Olympic season maybe we should start a thread "Programs 2009/2010"? What do you guys think? This would be great! I'll be there for sure, but I'd love to start just here: Do you consider Gerschwin's Summertime non-classical music? To stage something from Stephane's favourite Rakhmaninov would be a tough challenge... However it be, it will undoubtedly delightful to see him skating to classical tunes... As for Russian media, every new day they added a short article here or there (in all three ones) without any emotions and with some mistakes such as "in autumn 2008 Lambiel was forced to quit professional skating due to injury". Thank you for all the new articles on the Comeback! I adored the photo from Icenet, have never seen it before
