I adore the costume too. What I love about the costume - and most of his costumes - that there is a real meaning to them, they are really creative and artistic. Not like others, who put millions of rhinestones on their costumes because it looks pretty and have lots of cleavage because they want to shock people (and I enjoy Johnny Weir,...), or like some, who badly want to look manly and always skate in jeans and shirt... It's like - Stéphane's costumes always give me the feeling that they are part of the artwork, part of the masterpiece, part of the vision he has for a program. Wow, I sound majorly fangirly up there. Totally agree. I love Steph's costume's not because they are pretty, showy or go with some standard but because they are integral with his artistic vision, like it or not. He said he wanted something a la Tudors.

OK, few words about the short. First of all and the main thing, after the performance, when he was interviewed he looked very glad, confident and happy. He said few times that it's really good for him to come back, that all the last week he had a good feeling, though the pain is still there About the costume: he said that the idea was inspired by TV-series Tudors(?). And actually a simple peasant (and Tell was peasant) don't wear such outfit, but it's not the he is using the whole Tell's story as is anyway. The program itself: jumps were a bit "heavy", can't explain more what I mean, but I stood right near the ice and two of his jumps were not far from me, landing were not light. Though during the warm up Stephane did very nice 4+3 he fell on 4T during the performance. But as I see he got the points, so it was rotated. Spins were amazing as usual. Strait step sequence, ah, I fell in love with. It has a funny start and also very funny steps towards the spin after it is finished. Stephane mentioned that he wanted to make this story a bit comic. There was an interesting detail the journalist noticed and asked him: there are two parts of the music, the start is slower and then there is this famous part with trumpets. The music is changed at the middle of the spin from slow to fast. So Stephane answered that it's like he is coming from the spin and calling everybody to "wake up". Those who can read Russian, please, read updates there (and maybe copy here?), sorry, I just physically can't update everywhere.
