Alban PREAUBERT

Germany 2 competitors:

Finland 1 competitor:

Ari-Pekka NURMENKARI

Spain 1 competitor:

I wonder if Adrian will be sent to any other competition such as the Winter Universiade or Nordics this season.
He is not a student but he can participate in the Universiade as this competition is also open to any competitor who has graduated within two years.
Though both competitions do not count for the World Standings or ISU PBS, some international experience might help him, but still Harbin is a long way from Göteborg... Malmö is quite near to trip.

Anyhow, I'm going to cheer him for the rest of the season.
Go Adrian! :)

Depending on how his injury is, it would be a good thing to do a competition like one of those for the exposure, the practise and the experience.

BTW you do immaculate work on the Info, Kiira :-*
Can you be in charge of the TV Shedule too! ;)
Usually Sunshine Lizzie does all this hard work, but she must be busy/away. ???

I have to agree with Melanie that you are doing an amazing job, Kiirakiira :-* I´ve just caught-up with all the threads on AS and everywhere I noticed how wonderful your competition information is. :) Do you mind if I copy your Euros and Worlds posts to all the relevant forums? ??? :-*

Kiirakiira, maybe you could post all this in the European Champs thread in Basic Skating, since it concerns not only Adrian? ;) Also more people will appreciate it there and notice it ;)

Maybe I'm going to hunt live streaming like last season to watch the Europeans live, but I have a problem with my internet connection for a few weeks...sometimes it is slow or stops working...[image]
If I can't watch it, I will patiently sit and wait for your reports about Adrian's performances and videos somebody will upload on You Tube.

Anyway, I really hope that Adrian will enjoy skating at Euros and be satisfied with his performances.
I want him to be happy! :-* :-*

Quote:
"Beware of the Swedes..."

Swedish chance to medal

- Euros will be fun, says Adrian Schultheiss. My goal is to be as perfect as possible, the competition in Europe is very hard. I've never skated in the Hartwall Arena. I hope there will be a big audience and great atmosphere.
- Adrian is feeling well, says coach Evgeni Loutkov who has got Russian roots. We have changed his LP. It's more artistic this year. And he has worked very hard with his step sequences. He jumpes the quad at practice but not yet in competition. We'll see...
That Sweden now has got 3 male skaters and to be compared with great figure skating nations as Russia and France is a huge step forward, Evgeni continues. Futhermore, I and Adrian look forward a couple of months and have Worlds in March as the big goal. There is the place for Sweden to qualify to Olympics in Vancouver 2010. There lies some very funny, stimulating and interesting months ahead of us!

Kristoffer Berntsson made a few misstakes in his LP last Euros in Zagreb, placed 10th, got total score 182, 45 and finished 7th. This results, 6th and 7th, made a total 13th place for Sweden. And to be permitted to send 3 skaters this year they had to have a total place 14th, so it was a very successful Euros last year.
Now is the time for the guys to improve and get a closer step to the podium and I would like to say that there is a chance for medal.

Besides, the debutante and teenager Alexander Majorov from Luleå is given the chance to show his programs for the first time in a big competition like this. Alexander, who this fall placed 3rd in GP event (my note: the writer says senior GP but it has to be JGP), will be a real dark horse.

And this is Swedens placement in Euros, modern time:

6:a = Adrian Schultheiss, Göteborg - 2008 (Zagreb)
7:a = Kristoffer Berntsson, Göteborg - 2008 (Zagreb)
8:a = Peter Johansson, Mariestad - 1989! (Birmingham)
9:a = Lars Åkesson, Malmö - 1985
10:a = Peter Johansson, Mariestad - 1990
10:a = Lars Åkesson, Malmö - 1986
10:a = Tomas Öberg, Göteborg - 1980 (Göteborg)

Thanks for charing, deedee! Great news!
LOL, they're using an old pic. The first is the same as the one in my avatar, it's from Euros last year :P
