I enjoyed so much the performance, and I'm glad one of the sequences has now a higher level step by step they keep on improving

| You're welcome. I kinda feel like I'm talking to myself but hopefully if anyone wants to read it, it is there for the reading!
I just tuned in for the 2nd group after getting home from a party.. definitely had to be home for at least the 2nd half!! Actually tuned in during the middle of Anna & Sergei's so I don't really have anything to say about them.
Bobrova/Soloviev look like a team to look out for in the future. They have great basics that they can continue to build upon. I didn't really REALLY watch the program though I did see the twizzles were good, footwork looked good..
Wow Crone/Porier have quite the crazy lift! Looks pretty darn cool actually! He's gliding on one foot with the other extended behind him and has her in a lift, holding one leg, with her in front of him and she's in a stag position. Not anything I can really describe so I hope you can see it! They look like they're trying to put in creative lifts. Ooo and they spin both ways too. They looked good though I do notice a difference btwn them and the top of the field.. maybe in the precision & neatness, but these 2 are pretty good. Not sure who was happier in K&C.. them or coach!
Both Sinead and John received a big ovation (some if not most standing.. can't really tell b/c the camera didn't pan entire arena).
S&J's overall score was a seasons PB (yay!), but their free was just shy of it. I'm wondering if that means they did not receive higher levels in the footwork..??? I did notice Sinead didn't catch (or let go? happened kind of fast) of her foot in the twizzles but the twizzles themselves were ok. I'm almost positive they grab their foot in those twizzles. They didn't play it in the replay (Ice Network usu. replay jumps, spins, lifts, etc. before the scores are given). John's opening position is still crazy to me!! I think they looked good though. Will be interested in their thoughts.
Meryl & Charlie are so quick. Their twizzles are speedy and they have so many crazy entrances into things! I'm impressed. I probably forgot half of what I was going to say because I just wanted to watch it.
They interviewed Meryl & Charlie right after the event. They said they enjoyed performing in Japan and always enjoy it very much after saying thank you in Japanese. They said a lot of why they are skating so well is because of the time and effort they've put in this season and in general they've been together for many years. Re: the Olympic year, not approaching it differently but definitely do have an eye on the Olympics while focusing on one competition at a time. [Meryl said] figure skating is greatly loved in Japan and they appreciate the support--especially in the middle of the program. I couldn't understand the questions but I could understand the answers!
GROAN!! The signal was lost during the awards right before they announced S&J and now it won't respond. Grr. My #1 most irritating issue with Ice Network. When it decides either to a. freeze my browser or b. not stream. I do have to say it's better last year in terms of b. but worse in terms of a. Surely would be nice to see the medal ceremony but it's not worth fighting with my computer any longer.
ETA the feed came to life in time for me to see everyone pose for press pics and John run/waddle across the carpet during the victory lap.

Interviews on Ice Network backstage
Crone & Porier was during S&J's program.. could hear it in the background! Porier was sick last GP-had a 24 hour bug that hit on the wrong day he said. They talked about their prep for the season (couldn't keep up to type what they said); how they both skated as singles skaters which helped their elements in the dances.
And S&J! Proceed to GP Final. Medal here is fantastic. This year's silver is a good step up and Sinead said fingers crossed for GP final. Would have to come back soon and it's such a long flight. JK said anytime they can come it's great b/c the fans are enthusiastic and it's great to have them and a long flight is a small price to pay. Arigato! (They couldn't have thought of ANYTHING else to ask!?)
Meryl & Charlie - gold medals in both gps means a lot to them to start season strong; worked really hard and is great to be rewarded early in season and sets them up well for the rest of the season. big year for them and trying to improve technically and improve endurance. On to GPF and have to come back to Japan quickly--excited to come back, love Japan; one of favorite places. Quick turn-around is ok to come to someplace like Japan. Tokyo was one of fav cities. Keep training, practice, will be fine to come back. Developing artistic impression quickly better and better, what's secret? Amazing coaches; great material--can relate to it; work really hard/very dedicated. Need to show passion and emotion.
Did my best to keep up.

Great that they got a silver medal. Well done guys. Some of the skating scores seem a little mean though - 7.25??
