LOL, Kirsty is in the photo I mentioned, with me! She won. Those names are a blast. I looked up to Diane (I was nowhere as good as them - a single axel was my hardest jump) because of her spins. I've always been a fan of spins. Diane coaches now and visits Murrayfield regualarly with her pupils. Sheila used to scare the bejeez out of me - I think she is still aroung though! Last saw her about 2 years ago. I knew Wendy - I remember hanging out with her outside a pub in Stockbridge - I think her dad was there. Charlotte was really her first name but she hated it. Lorna's still coaching dance. Fiona coaches. I had a crush on Stewart!!! Think Malcolm's in the CID or police. Alan has a driving school still and is still involved in skating at Murr. I vaguely remember Carol-ann, but not the two Davids. What about Merrick Kerr - were you away by the time he came? I've been in touch with Mari.

Wednesday night was Young Skaters Club. Oooh the memories. My pal was Susan Cartledge. We were both in 2nd top group. I never did my prelims but passed the equivalent test in my 30s! I skated early 1978 - 80ish. Had a few lessons from a French coach Isabelle (her surname will come to me eventually). I self taught axel. Very proud moment when I showed her I could do it, which was repeated 2 decades later in front of Alice & S&J!

www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4338564&l=cafb1&id=874220225That's the pic. Alan is in background. Maybe you are standing at the back? I could never identify those skaters off the ice. I left when I was 12 or 13. That'd be about 1980 or 81. Can you PM me your name? I'm sure I should know you! If you were better than me (which you clearly were) I would have looked up to you, as I did all the good skaters.

Hi I'm new and my daughter and I are hoping to go to watch the Worlds. Just wondering if anyone else out there is going to support the British squad -- it would be nice to sit with fellow supporters. Any thoughts? We loved the Kerrs at the British, particularly the Free Dance!!!
