He did great considering the surgery & time he had to prepare. Amazing actually. I'm just sad he didn't get gold.

Stephane was so disappointed last night, he cried so much. He was mad at himself of course, but also upset at whoever counted his 3A as a 2A, and he didn't quite appreciate that his spins in the SP were all level 1 while Brian got level 2. That said, he knows that had he landed that darn lutz or put a 3T (or 2T) after the quad, he'd have been up there... So lots of tears, lots of regrets, lots of hugs, lots of comforting words, and lots of... glasses of wine! I have to say that he really has a wonderful team around him, so many people who're there for him no matter what, and I'm proud to be part of that "crew". We all celebrated Jamal's wonderful performance too, he was SO SO happy and such a sweety, and when I congratulated him and told him that "well, at least we have one reason to be very happy and proud tonight" he replied that it was thanks to the support of Stephane's FC that he skated so well! And he indeed grinsed and looked so happy when he came onto the ice and heard the bells and saw that big red&white group up there in the audience. So proud of him!

Hi to everyone!I'm Sara from Italy. I saw the European Championship, I think Lambiel is a great skater. I'm a swimmer so I don't know so many things about skating, but he seem so fluent and sweet, while I saw him all my body followed his movements..wow..
I think the third place was his place only for his feeling with his body and the ice! Stephane is great. Have a nice day all skating people

Hi Sara. I totally agree with you. Not all of us have this skill for spotting talent and genius though, only the select few, like us, on his MB. Poor Stephane, but still he should be proud. He did so well to get where he did with injury/surgery/preparation time. He mustn't be so hard on himself. Everyone has off days and everyone gets nervous at times. Brush himself off and get on with the next bit. He's still a genius. I'm sure the judges want to give him that medal. Hugs. xxx

Hi Sara! Welcome! Poor Stephane, I so wished he had the medal, but he most know that we all are so proud of him how great he did. We know the true genius in him and soon, very very soon, he will get the medal he truelly deserves. Petit Prince you rock!

He is young too, he can work on his lutz o 3a or what else but I hope he'll skate every time with heart and harmony. It's the first time I've seen him and I think he is charming when he skate on ice. His spins (really I don't know if I write the right word, sorry, but I don't know the name of the skate movements..I don't know them in italian, in english is more difficult! ) impressed me so much, he was so fast and soft.. the best spins of the Championship.

Yes, the Swiss nation seem to breed the best spinners in the world. Stephane is the best male spinner in the world at the moment, in my opinion.

Or as British Eurosport commentators say: It's because Switzerland is in the middle of Europe so they're always turning around, looking.

Or as British Eurosport commentators say: It's because Switzerland is in the middle of Europe so they're always turning around, looking. That's probably the best explanation I've heard so far! Go Chris and Nicky! Ciao Sara and Flash Gordon! The SP music is Spanish Caravan by George Winston (originally by The Doors!)
