Thank you! This is off topic here but I have to say this. I'm very happy to see Dytrt's name on the list. Go Annette! Good luck for all the skaters!

Hmmm, how come the Beiers aren't listed? I saw them today at the Oberstdorf Gala and they looked recovered from injury - is it that they haven't had enough time to prepare? [They did skate last season's OD in the Gala]. Also will it be broadcast on German TV at all? Do you have any channel and time info please?

I was also (pleasantly) surprised to see the Beiers skating in the Gala, but apparently they are not ready yet for Nationals. They can't have practised their new programs a lot.

They looked very sharp though didn't they, which was lovely to see! I wonder if they'll be ready in time for Warsaw? I do hope so. But probably Worlds for them this year.

This is off topic here but I have to say this. I'm very happy to see Dytrt's name on the list. Don't be too happy about it. People have seen her practice and she isn't fit yet. And I don't think the few days she has left training will be enough time. 1. and 2. from Nationals will go to Euros and the better one from Euros gets to go to Worlds, but not the skaters doing World Juniors.

The Beiers won't be ready for Euros so the "new" german Team of Zhiganshine & Gaszi will go. If the Beiers think they are ready to compete by Feb 20th there will be a Qualifier between the two Teams to see who will get to go to Worlds

Thanks for the info about the Beiers. I must say I don't know anything about the 2nd team at all, are they trained by Scotnicky? Also I thought that Annette Dytrt was no longer eligible to compete as she had taken part in the Stars auf Eis show? Didn't Daniel Weiss make a speech in the Final saying this, and the ISU communique was released earlier this year outlining their new rules banning people who had participated in these shows. So I'm confused now?

Also I thought that Annette Dytrt was no longer eligible to compete as she had taken part in the Stars auf Eis show? the second pair is training in Moscow and their coach is Elena Kustarova i think. Zhiganshina is Russian and only got her permission to represent Germany from the Russian Federation a few weeks ago. They have been together 2005 and this is there second appearance at Nationals. Anette did sign her contract in early May and the ISU Communication only came out in July so she is not effected by it. Apparently the German Federation checked it all out before they allowed Anette to do Nationals. She did however loose a lot of training time doing the show so I don't know what she will be able to show and how she can place.

Thanks for the info, I guess the Fed doesn't want to push Kolbe & Rabe up to Seniors just yet to compete at Euros. I'm not keen on their FD, but I thought their Tango OD skated at Oberstdorf last night was very stylish. They looked good.

Yes, Zhiganshina/Gaszi train in Moscow. I've seen them there and although it was early into their partnership I liked them and felt they were looking good together. Now I hope they will skate well at Nationals and get to go to Europeans. As for Annette Dytrt, I also heard rather skeptical reports on her level of fitness, but I still hope she can do well.

I'm not keen on their FD, but I thought their Tango OD skated at Oberstdorf last night was very stylish. They looked good. Considering they only started skating together in July / August they are having a fantastic season. I'm glad they were given the chance to do JGPs even though they'd only been skating together for a few weeks and did so well!!! They are the big favourite for winning the German Junior Dance Titel and getting the German spot at Junior Worlds, which is held in Oberstdorf Germany this year. So it might be bether for them to focus on the Junior programms right now. I wish them all the best of luck! It is also there last chance for doing Junior Worlds as they age out at the end of this season

Thanks sanny for the info about Kolbe & Rabe, I hadn't realised they were such a new couple! They are doing remarkably well! I mistakenly thought they were a Junior couple that Hendryk Schamberger was coaching for a while now, who also performed at the Oberstdorf Gala a few years ago, but that must have been a different couple, or the same girl with a different boy? I wish them the best for Junior Worlds, and good to see that next year there will be a super competition at German Nationals for Senior Dance. I look forward to watching Warsaw on Eurosport to see what standard Zhiganshine & Gaszi are too. .
