Cole represents the B.C. section therefore he cannot qualify to the Nationals through the Central Ontario sectionals. Having said that, he can compete here, no problem, but his result won't count toward the Nats qualifying process.

aha, i see, thank you Megi:) do you know him? is he a good skater? i hope he wont use the chance of "our" skaters.. Yes, Cole is a promising skater with nice choreography and style. But don't worry - he does not take away the chaces of Central Ontario guys to qualify even if he wins since as I said, his result won't count. If I had to predict result of this event I'd say: 1. Ken Rose 2. Patric Chan 3. Dylan Moscovitch 4. Eric Radford 5. Cole Stambra 6. Gaven Wilder But again, it will all come down to how they skate on given days since IMO any skater from the top 4 I predicted is capable of winning.

i hope you have right with the order but Dylan.. hmm... i would give him the second place:) lol.. but it doesnt depend on our wish... yes, yes i understand it... i just was afraid of that if he would lead in the competition, it could get the others down.. lol.. i am too tired today and as I am soo tired .. i just now realized, that i "know" Cole... he is a good skater, and I saw one video of him, and I liked it... (http://www.colestanbra.com) and Eric Radford... he skated in Budapest, JGP last year, i remember to him, he is so funny... he joked all the time there... he skates also in pair, doesnt he? if i remember last year he skated with Sara, but now I saw, that his pair is Rachel Kirkland... do you know, what's happened with them?

Oh Helga, I can always count on you when it comes to discussing obscure Canadian skaters and events Personally, I'd love Dylan and Eric to be on the podium (in any order) since I really like their skating. Eric is one of the most musical skaters I've ever seen (not a surprise since he's an accomplished pianist) and has absolutely gorgeous style. Dylan, on the other hand, has very clean technique and one of the best skating skills among the senior men at Canadians yet he's been struggling with consistency. He is also very musical but comparing to Eric his style is more athletic. Having said, hope they both deliver and the best of the too wins It's funny how they've been placing next to each other in the last several seasons. For example, Eric won the 2004 Junior Men's title, Dylan was second. Then the next year, it was the same order at Sectionals, and then Dylan finished 14th in senior men's at Nats with Eric 15th. Yes, Eric skates pairs indeed. He and Sarah Burke were the 2004 Novice Pairs' champs, they split after a dissapointing performances at 2005 Nats in London when they finished 4th in Jr Pairs. As far as I know, Sarah had several try-out but haven't teamed up with anybody and she's focusing on singles this year. Eric is now skating with Rachel Kirkland.

Oh Helga, I can always count on you when it comes to discussing obscure Canadian skaters and events i love to talk about Canadian and American skaters:) are they obscure? lol.. not for us ok, so it has to be the order Ken, Dylan and Eric, the podium:p i saw him only in pair in Budapest... unfortunately in pair their styles are different usually:( don't you have a videoclip Megi? as person he was very funny, joked all the time with Jordan I think.. pianist? wow... like Romain? Dylan is the skater I saw only by clip, thanks to you in the basic skating thread why are the Canadian skaters soo soo talented? we should import some Canadian skaters lol, it is really funny... is there rivalism between them? it is so funny too, that they both skate in CO Sectionals... if you should choose between them, who would be your favorite? aha... thanks but the 4th place in junior isnt as bad... how many junior pairs do you have? Did you see the skating of Eric and Rachel? I am curious what their skating will be like...

Continuing my caht with Helga here... Well said! Absolutely agree! You should come to some of our local events here, I'm sure we'd have a great time I do, but won't share Let me just say it was not the best performance you could ever imagine Haha, this is something I'd not approve Well, not only that. They train in the same club with the same coach. When it comes to choosing whose skating I like better I think I'd say Dylan since he has great basic skating skills, great speed and flow on his elements, and textbook technique on the jumps. In addition to the technical aspect, I really like his style which is a mix between athleticism and musicality. There are about 9868765765 men who skate to boombastic type of music but nobody does it as good as Dylan, IMO. And that's more than enough to gain my support IIRC there were 13 teams in the jr pairs event at the Nationals in London last season. Unfortunately, this year the situation does not look too good since most of last year's junior teams either split or went senior. As a result, we've had only two (2!) pairs in the Jr GP circuit this year... And no, I have not seen Rachel and Eric yet. However, I've seen her in singles and must say she reminds me of Sasha Cohen, mostly because of the great extenssion she gets on her elements. I'm really curious to see her skate pairs with Mr. Radford. I guess it's like a 45-minute drive from where I live. For Canadian standerds, it's not far at all. The thing is I absolutely hate driving at night so I'm considering finding a hotel to stay. I must say I've not been overly successful since I'm not familiar with the area and checking each and every hotel there is in Richmond Hill and it's distance from the arena using mapquest is really annoying

I hope Ken will win the competition
