oh, what the heck, studying for exams can wait... Figure skater Tomas Verner said after winning his national title:Are you satisfied with your performance at Nationals?I´m happy that I jumped two quads...but I also made a lot of small mistakes. There was a slight hesitation in my triple axel. But overall I achieved what I wanted. I considered this competition a test before Euros. What phase (of the season) are you in now? After the GP events I am on the lower part of an imaginary wave, I need to work on the individual elements of my programs before Euros and Worlds. The Nationals taking place in December is not a very good time schedule, because they are right in the middle of a training cycle when our performances are not so good. What are you ambitions for Euros?I´d love to skate in the last warm-up group, among the top six. Last season I dropped from seventh to tenth in the FS, this year I want to do better. This year there will be two of us from the Czech Republic, I´m happy that Pavel Kaska will be there with me. last part is missing...will add later..maybe ETA - What will you focuse on now in your training?I feel that I need to work on the step sequences, they are very important. I am also learning an easier version as not to tire myself out too much. And of course I want to improve the cleanness of my performances, the speed and security. And what about Worlds in Tokio?Of course, I am keeping them in mind too, but it will be very hard there. The Japanese, as well as other non-European skaters are very strong and I will be facing a difficult field. Nevertheless, my goal is to be in the top 10.
