I see, yes, that is true... WE celebrate in our family, only,...in Czech rep. it is absolutly not very well known... I, on the other hand, love OUR traditions, the specific Czech ones I don´t have anything against Haloween (I celebrated it myself when I was with Americans), but I think traditions belong to the countries...and I really hate when I see Haloween, St.Patrick and whatever decorations in MY country - cause it is just NOT part of our culture...it doesn´t belong there...

Yes I know what you mean...it isn't very Dutch either, only in the Southern parts of the country. We have our own traditions too and when a country has its own traditions that really is something to be proud of!

lol ok, yeah st maarten... I was a bit confused, as I have grown up in the real south (close to maastricht) and really never saw any of halloween, not even the eating of pumkins-pumpkin pie... When I got to Nijmegen, then I went to a Halloween-themed party etc... but not in Limburg
I like it as a party theme, but don't see it as a real tradition.

True..it's lots of fun for parties, but I think it really doesn't fit in Dutch culture

You are right, Lizzie... Maya, we celebrate also the day after Halloween, I don´t know if it can be called celebrate, it is a day in honour of our family members, who died, and so...it is called All Souls Day...
