Hi, this is Shaun. I just want to thank AS for offering to help me with making a website and hosting it and a message board here! I think it's awesome they contacted me about it, and I'm happy everyone is pleased by the site.
Hopefully I'll get used to actually having a website and the updates will become more frequent as the next few months go by =] I'm an internet-junkie so I'm sure once I get used to it I'll be updating it often.

Hi Shaun, That's nice of you to take the time to post a message. Where did you get your username? I used to be a really avid StarCraft/WarCraft player (they are both extremely popular online computer games) and I played with a clan that used the tag XsmurF... I used azure as my "prefix" for the tag and I've kept it ever since and use it as my alias online pretty much everywhere.

Are you looking forward to your next competition in the middle of summer?? Yes, although at Liberty I'll probably only have my long. We just started choreography this week and I think my choreographer (Vitali Popkov is doing my choreography this year) wants to make some changes to the cuts still. (it may even end up being a "Muse medley" so to speak, as he asked me to give him the whole instrumental album.

I think for a summercomp that is not such a rarity, is it? Must say, I am very surprised that some skaters have their choreography already set (and skating them in public so early in the season). But maybe I am just too used to skaters that want to keep their programs and music choices secret for as long as possible. Speaking of music choices, can I ask whats yours?

Well for long I'm using instrumental versions of songs by the band Muse. Right now the cut is only of one of their songs, although I'm sure by the end it's going to be a medley (my choreographer wants to recut it). As for short I'm not really certain yet. My coach and I still need to find time t sit down and listen to each others' choices. So nothing certain yet but I'm sure I'll let you guys know when I do.

oh, Muse??!! Yes, I have instrumental versions of Butterflies & Hurricanes that I've had cut for my long. (I found an entire Instrumental version of their Absolution album while searching around online) I did figure out my short music - I'm skating to music by Alexander Nevsky (I can't remember the name of the song... actually I haven't even seen the CD cover to find out the name - I've only heard the music! But it is very cool)

Thanks Shaun! I'm glad you found your music for your short program. Please let me know when you find out the exact title, and I will add it to your Web site. Did you have a chance to start working on your choreography yet? Are you working with the same choreographer for both of your programs? Caroline.
