Not at all alopatra, very interesting to read. I suppose it depends also what the Czech Federation wants them to do, are they receiving financial help for their training?

But anyway, I travel to Prague from time to time, so it's not that bad if they move. I think I still will have the chnace to see them Moreover, a lot of people from our Czech forum live in Prague and kvaca who is a moderator of the Czech skaters at our Czech forum with me is now studying there. She has already been to the practice of K&D in Prague when they had some extra parctice session there before leaving for Skate Canada. And she gave me a lot of news after visiting that practice - not only about K&D. So wherever K&D are, we are able stay up-to-date and bring news about them . Actually David is occasionally posting at our forum as well.

The opinion of the Czech Federation also plays a role. Conserning the financial support: they are not receiving any or almost any . They really had a bad luck this year because the amount of money skaters receive depends on how they perform at the Czech Test Skate which took place at the end of this summer. At this Test Skate K&D fell in the practice right before their free dance and Kamila injured her leg. Kamila was taken to hospital and so they couldn't finish the Test Skate. Afterwards, the Czech Federation said K&D don't deserve to receive any money because they didn't perform their free dance. They way Czech Federation handeled K&D is really a shame . Kamila and David even went without the coach to Skate Canada because the Czech Federation didn't want to pay the travel expenses for the coach It was really painful as we went to Prague to watch the Test Skate and Kamila&David fell right in front of our eyes very close to the place we had our seats They were lying on the ice for quite a long time and then Kami started crying. David jumped up to find out what's going on and just shouted "Oh my GOD" First we absolutely had no idea what happened to Kami. David and one other skater rushed to carry Kamila on their arms out of the ice. They first considered to call an ambulance but then they just pushed Kamila into somebody's car and brought her to hospital. By chance, Brambora was able to photograph the accident and it was obvious from the photo, that David cut Kamila's leg with his skate. Those who saw David pushing Kamila into a car reported there had been a lot of blood . In the hospital Kamila got 4 stitches and was ordered to stay off ice for 10 days. In a couple of hours she came back to the rink on crutches and just watched the rest of the Test Skate. Unfortunately, David & Kami had to cancel their planned stay in Oberstdorf because of Kamila's injury. Therefore, they couldn't practice their CD enough

Yes.... it was horrible. I was very sad of it.. and all day I was shamefaced. I've never seen injury on ice by own eyeball ... Figure skating is very dangerous sport, but beautiful! I'll be happy if Kami and Dave practise in Prague. I hope that this year I come at school in Prague and I'll go to see them It would be fine But I don't know if I have a time to do it... Alo, you are so happy girl, that you can skate in Brno, in Prague is not this course of skating for more people I would like to skate too..

that's really sad of the Czech fed! They should have gotten another chance, after Kamila was recovered from her injury. This way it's just not fair! I think it's cool they are coming to Prague though I skated in Prague? in the morning there are sessions for the general audience (9-11) and I think one can follow some lessons too?

that's really sad of the Czech fed! They should have gotten another chance, after Kamila was recovered from her injury. This way it's just not fair! I think it's cool they are coming to Prague though They asked for another chance. K&D called the Czech Federation and said that after they got themselves together they would perform the FS for the federation. But the federation refused to give them the chance stating that there is no money available in their fund. But then there is a question what the federation would have done if Kami&Dave had been able to perform their free dance in the Test Skate. Obviously, the federation just needed some reason not to give the money (whatever the reason was). Well, I think I will be the only sad person if they move to Prague (and I'm almost sure they will, at least for a couple of days in a week). The rest of people from the Czech forum will celebrate because so many of them live in Prague or near to Prague.

I skated in Prague? in the morning there are sessions for the general audience (9-11) and I think one can follow some lessons too? I've never heard about that. Definitely, there have been some skating classes for the public too but there are none these days because of the lack of ice-time. I just know coaches are willing to train public but you have to hire a coach, which is of course very expensive. If there are some classes you can follow between 9 and 11, it's not very helpful as all my friends from Prague interested in skating are busy at school at this time.
