Just a quick post to say that last night was very enjoyable! The atmosphere was great, and the audience were lively. Few scenes have changed from last year, which is a shame, but the magic of Hot Ice remains.
2007 welcomes back Russian ice dance couple Natalia Pestova & Alexei Kislitsyn and British figure skater, Leigh Mack!
Last year we said goodbye to John Dunn, who left the show due to a knee injury, and Daniel Whiston, 2006 champion of Dancing On Ice UK!
For me, the show lacked nothing without Daniel, but I am almost certain that for some, watching it without their star was difficult.
The star of AS is, of course, Romain! He performed spectacularly, and even looked relaxed! (What can you expect after performing to 12,000 people for PSOI and then Blackpool?) His jumps and spins seemed effortless, nevermind flawless, and it was great to see him again!
I will be writing a report for AS sometime today, so that will go up at some point, I assume.
Anyway, you can hear what he thought of it, he'll be posting!
Well done, R! x

Thanks for the report melli, and looking forward to reading your longer review on AS later, and hopefully seeing your photos. Glad you had a good time and the show looks fab!

I'll write it tonight, photos will be following later. I apologise, but there was honestly nothing to take a photo of! No celebs or anything! It was very disappointing! I'll take some photos when I go to the show next time, promise!

Not that I would encourage you not to go to college, but ooh, that's where the stars would've mingled, at the after show party..... ...next year!

Haha, it would be cool, I would have preferred to go to a party than be stuck here, but if I did, I would be skinned alive. Next year, right. Okay. Just got to find a way to go...

I'll come too, and we'll book a hotel for the night to stay at Blackpool, so we can stay out as long as poss, and not miss anything! Must check Hello magazine next week, they usually have the Premiere Party pics in there non?

Yea, they usually do! I don't know, it didn't seem such a big deal this year, maybe it's because it opened on a Wednesday?

That *has* to be something on the material of the see-throughist top?

I'm not too sure about those paticular costumes (from Chill) but I know there are costumes in the show which look similar, but they aren't actually see through.
The costume design is clever, it is revealling without revealling anything at all. Whether it's by the strategially placed crystals, or the material itself which is deceptive, it's really cool! (Except in the case of one principal skater, who unfortunately had one or two accidents last year...Haha!)
