Katarina Witt likes Adrian www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/vintersport/os2010/article6477734.abGoogle translation. Katarina Witt celebrates Swedish Schultheiss TALLINN. Adrian Schultheiss was unable to shop in the Championship - but he left footprint. Former Olympic champion Katarina Witt pays tribute to the Swede. - He goes modern, I like him, "she told Sportbladet. Success was not forthcoming for both Adrian Schultheiss and Kristoffer Berntsson on EM. Much inclined to now that it is the young Schultheiss get Olympic tickets. A good solution in that case, consider Katarina Witt. The German 44-year-old, who won the Olympic gold twice, has been in Estonia for interviews and saw the men's free program on Thursday. Understand the uncertainty Adrian Schultheiss impressed in his schizophrenic program in which he moves between different worlds. - He goes modern, but his own style throughout. He keeps it together. There is little crazy, I like his madness, "says Katharina Witt, who won the Olympics both in 1984 and 1988th When she hears about the Senate plan to not invest in the planned kvadrupeln she says that she therefore understands Adrian's uncertainty seemed to shop. And she sees advantages to allowing a young skaters to compete at the Olympics, to learn to future. Decision on Sunday Adrian heard yesterday talks about Katarina Witt praised by their parents who were place in Tallinn. - Fun, "he says. She likes you to go modern! - I think with ... SOK announced on Sunday it will be Adrian Schultheiss and Kristoffer Berntsson which may go to the Olympics. Or none at all ...? - They have said that it might be so. But I hope they see that I can do something in the future. It is advantageous to me now, if they want to send any at all, "says Schultheiss. Meanwhile, 21-year-old sorry the image created by him during writings on the Olympic trials. - I may have come as a shitty person, I am not. I'm the only one open and honest person. I say anything stupid about Christopher, but say only concrete what I see, "says Adrian Schulteiss

This short interview is hilarious! I know you outside Sweden can't see it, and it seems that SVT has changed their way of putting videos up (some secure-blah) so it's hard to download them. But my brother and I are trying to solve it, I hope we can do it soon. Until then, here's a short translation: ;D Note: Leif "Loket" Olsson is a famous hoster in Swedish TV. He used to host a bingo show some years ago. He's from Gothenburg as well as Adrian.

I'm finding a lot good on Adrian, and more will come. I'll try to put everything new and relevant here. From SvD, Feb 17. No, Adrian, your not getting old! But being 7 months older than you, I understand your feeling. You pass 20, and you start feeling your whole life passing away LOL You've got years ahead of you! See you in Sochi! ;D

More with Babben and Adrian
I did a summary of the interview and quote the best parts. (When/if I solve the software problem I put all the videos on YouTube and may even do subtitles) Adrian was positive about the fight of the Olympic ticket and says that has improved Swedish figure skating. He thinks that you have to deal with and handle the pressure, it wasn't too hard. They talked about him being indignant during the Worlds 2008, when he wasn't on any poster in town. He was very upset and thinks the authorities should be ashamed. They're talking about how he has improved his artistic skills during the last years and he says he's a very unusual, doing both a classic program and a very modern one. Flexible. 3 of the 5 children in his family is related to figure skating in one way or the other. Adrian, that needs no further presentation, one brother is fs judge and littlest brother, just 4 years old, skates too. He says their mum and dad likes the sport, among lots of other sports. He played hockey for a while and his younger brother (my note: Joshua, I think) plays it now. A great interview, I think! He felt comfortable and it was good seeing him smiling and laughing so much. Italian, that sounds interesting! I bet he will coach a future Olympic champion!

Adrian is a bit off his rocker sometimes, but all in a good way. He is always fun to interview and people remember him for his not so standard answers, programs, costumes, hairdos etc. Keep going, Adrian!
