well Tomas had a press conference today, just before flying off to China here's one of the articles about it: www.sportovninoviny.cz/dalsi/index_view.php?id=342199he said that the first 2 competitions were mainly to test out the programs, just to get used to them and get some feedback on them. That the jumps didn't work out, he mainly blames on the fact that he was still affected by the hard difficult training in the summer. In the past 2 weeks he mainly worked on some details, and he revealed that in these weeks the jumps worked very well for him. He doesn't want to praise too much, but he did land a few perfekt quad toeloops last week. Of course he was very happy about that, it adds to his confidence. He's also back to training 3 triple axels in a row (very impressive, I saw him do it at training at Euros and worlds) just to convince himself that 3A isn't all that difficult for him. He is very much looking forward to the GP, and hopes that his enthousiasm will stay with him untill after this GP as well then something about last years GP, that it was an unfortunate situation at TEB. Joubert withdrew from competition and he didn't know how to handle the new role as absolute favorite. Tomas says he hopes this kind of thing will never happen again...and he says that the Japanese are pretty strong, so he hopes they won't withdraw. The article says that this will be his first match up with the top skaters of the world. to that, he says that at the competition, he will first do his very best...then he leaves it to the judges...and then we will see how this matches up with the rest of the world. He really wants to get a new personal best, and the elements he currently planned should allow him to do so... He was a bit surprised by the retirement of Buttle and Lambiel, because he says we are so close to Olympics now, and it's not like they had to retire because they will be too old at that point. He also personally doesn't believe Plushenko will really come back, but he does count on it just in case...

Today, there was information that Daisuke Takahashi is absent from Cup of China for his injury(the sprain of right knee) by the Japanese news...
