Do we have any updates on Joubert? I want Tomas to beat him when he's healthy.

Well no, just cautiously optimistic. I will be happy if Tomas skates without any major brain farts and gets a medal. Would "No More Brian Farts, Tomas!" make a good poster???

Hi! I haven't been before to any figure skating competitions, so I just want to ask a question: is there usually any kind of situation after the skating when one could ask an autograph or a picture with the ice skater? I live in Finland and I'm really excited about the European Championships in Helsinki!

yes, you can try after the long program to find skaters in the official hotel. Lots of people do that. I wouldn't advice to ask for autographs any time before they finished competing... (they have to concentrate etc. before) ETA: usually if you look around in the audience during the ladies SP or LP, there are a lot of Men skaters too you can try in Zamboni... and if you'd like to meet, I'll be there too from tuesdaynight to mondaymorning!!

Alright, thank you very much for the information! Currently I've got tickets only for the men's SP, but I guess I'll have to buy tickets for the men's long program too... Which hotel is the official hotel, do you remember? And yes, it would be very nice to meet! As I already mentioned I've so far got tickets only to the SP, so I'm there at least on Wednesday 21st.

During SP I sit in section 118, row 19, seat 10 or well, that when I stick to my seat, I don't always do that My LP ticket is much better, as it is row 5 in section 119 (my best tickets by far, which is just great, can't wait to see that Tango again I'm still so in love with ) I don't remember the official hotel , but I looked it up: Scandic Continental Mannerheimintie 46 it's about 4km from the icerink... (and my hostel is right inbetween...how convienient )

Alright, during the SP I sit in section 120, row 18, seat 1 or 2. I think I have to buy tickets to the LP too, because I just realised that I haven't seen his LP at all! So, let's hope there's still tickets left! Hmm... I'll try to get to the hotel, I think I know where it is... The time is better than the short program's, because I lose a few school lessons when I come to the SP. But what's that compared to seeing Tomas and other's skating!

Oh, just one more thing: Is it allowed to film and take photos during the competition? Sorry for bothering you with such questions!

Usually if you come in with a regular camera and not something superfancy and with a big lense it's allowed. at past competitions I usually took some video's during practice. During competition I don't because there are proffesional photographers for the pictures and it will be on tv so why bother with pocketcamera besides that, if I am filming or making pictures I cannot fully enjoy the program... (though with Tomas I never do that anyway because I am too nervous to be capable of that ... well sometimes I can enjoy footwork when the jumps are over ) and girl I wouldn't bother about missing a few lessons. ...I am missing a very important and difficult exam...will have to do it later and pass it at once...but okay

I'd especially want to go to the World Championships (which will be in my native homeland of Sunny California )... but that's a day when we give a final group oral presentation and I can't just tell my team, "sorry guys, but I must fly to America to watch figure skating!" ) But next year I'll hopefully have more flexibility and will definitely try to make it to Euros and a Grand Prix or two.

yeah, I originally had an oral presentation on thursday, but to my luck they moved it to tuesday!!! but that sucks Nina... Next year you'd try worlds in Torino I really reccomend euros too (next year will be the first one I miss in 6 years I think...) and smaller events like Nebelhorn and Karl Schaefer are sooooo much fun
