Hi Lerei! Where in California are you from? (I'm originally from Sacramento, you're from Oakland I'm guessing?). If you're going to worlds in LA I'm going to be eternally jealous of you. I'm actually from San Jose (Go Sharks!). However, I go to college on the East Coast so I'm not going to worlds I'm loving the picture elle.

Apparently at the press conference, when someone mentioned Tomas used it too, Brian said: "well everyone knows Tomas is my model "

I guess you are speaking about the Olys black one, cause the orange net (SP) still gives me creeps (though everything worn by Tomas looks good!)

The problem is not the colour (I will never forget his orange jumper in Oberstdorf), I don't really appreciate the net, it makes me think of Brian.... ;D ;D ;D (or Johnny)

My favorite costumes of Tomas are: 1th place:Olympics free programme-you know the black one with red and silver details 2th place:Last year free programme and this year free programme 3th place:Last and this year short programme and outfit that he have when he is skating wolare. But, in generaly, i liked every costume of him that i saw. And i really hope so That Tomas wouldnt start to dressing like Johnny or Brian becouse i didnt liked any costume of Johnny and Brian's only one costume that i liked was James Bond.

I meant the one with the net... his short programme costume... and I agree, the exhibition clothes (volare) is a very good one also. but I think i like all of his, except '06-'07 SP costume. I think that green bow was unneccessary And he don't actually need to copy Brian's or anyone else's style because he has his own, and it's the best!

we're going off topic absoluteskating.proboards37.com/index.cgi?board=Tomas&action=display&thread=3652Anyway, back to Europeans, there is Czech news: www.sportovninoviny.cz/index_view.php?id=355270- Both he and caro feel that OK, Europeans is important, but their main focus is still on worlds. - there are a few little things but it should be OK and the preperation is going according to plan - he really wants the quad in the SP eventhough it didn't work for him yet so far in competition. In training it's working great - he doesn't really follow how Brian Joubert is doing, but he believes that everything will come together and Brian will show up with a lot of power at Europeans anyway. Tomas is not the person to think that "oh, all the others are injured, so it will be easy for me and I will just skate to victory" - Tomas thinks the whole french team is very strong - he says he has the fight for the championships in his own hands, that he has to look out he won't do any uneccessary mistakes. - everything can happen, but at the previous GP events he won a medal at both of them eventhough he did not perform his maximum. It means he belongs to the world top and it would be a big dissapointment for him if he would finish off the podium.

- Both he and caro feel that OK, Europeans is important, but their main focus is still on worlds. When I first red this I was like..uh?? yea..alright..Euros are not Worlds but are Euros anyway..is it like "I 'm not going to be at the top of my shape because there are still Worlds to come"?..because when it's the GP,it's because there are still Euros coming, when it's Euros, it's because Worlds are coming.. oh well, I guess he only means that Euros aren't the end of the season..

let me translate his quote exactly:
Hlavní cíl sezony pro něj leží jinde, chtěl by v březnu v Los Angeles získat první medaili na světové scéně. "Oba s Carolinou (Kostnerovou) cítíme, že mistrovství Evropy je sice velký závod, ale důležité je pro nás mistrovství světa,"
The main goal for him this season lies somewhere else. At worlds in March he would like to win his first medal on the world scene. "Together with Carolina we feel, that allthough the European championships is a big competittion, important for us is the world championships"
I think what Tomas means is that of course Europeans is prestigious, and of course he wants to win it. His main goal however, what he is really aiming and preparing for this season, is a medal at worlds.
And he said that earlier in the season, not just now...

That being said, "2 time European Champion" sure sounds nice. I just hope he lands that quad in the SP!
