I'm having some YouTube time and came across Stéphane's exhibition in 2003: Magic Stradivarius by Edvin Marton. I'd seen it before, but next to it was this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yracUOisZU&feature=relatedMagic Stradivarius in 2009 Kings on Ice. A more mature version and in one of my favorite outfits. I have never seen this one before, so that was a nice surprise :-) Salut, Annelfie I would recommend you to watch this home video - it's from the same show, but from the second day. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycRzieCh2R8 It's an even more expressive performance than the taped one you've already watched and is my favorite Magic Stradivarius video Thank you! Always nice when people post their favorite vids, because it's sometimes hard to get through all the different versions. I like this one too, indeed very passionate, but only in addition to the other one. The first one I watched gave an overall idea and I needed that to fill in the gaps in the one you mentioned. And I notice that's what happens usually: you need to watch a certain different versions, so you know the program very detailed and then you get hooked up on a certain version because that's the one that arrouses the most emotion in you. But it's only thanks to the other versions. Something like that. Thanks for sharing! Salut, Annelfie

But it's only thanks to the other versions. Something like that. I absolutely agree. That's why I always download and watch all the available videos of a program. But the ones I usually like are mostly the ones which are taken from a close distance, are stable (if it's a home video) and show my favourite movements of the program from the greatest angles. But sometimes like with this video I gave you the link to this rule doesn't apply - the vid is blurry, shaky and the angles aren't OK sometimes, but Stephane's performance on the day this video was taken is IMHO much more passionate and complete than the one from the first show which was taken by the professional cameras, and this is the best available video of it

I've got a video where Stéphane performs at the Oberstdorf New Year gala. I never saw it before and I even didn't know he has performed there. I always wondered why they never invite Stéphane. It's 2002 or 2003, I don't know exactly, I think he had this program in 2003 in competitions. It's really beautiful and he does soo well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDXYRCuFeCQ&feature=youtu.be

I've never seen this particular performance. You are right, it is beautiful. This is "Magic Stradivarius". Stéphane skated this program on the galas in 2003 but also later on the KOI. I don't think it was his competitive routine, but of course I can be wrong
