After a long day and a short night we are ready for our second day on location, here in Belgium. The dressing rehearsal was yesterday. And even though there were some last minute instructions, the show looks great! We took some pictures which will be used in the program book Already had some hilarious moments (Mireille and I, deadly combination ) but we will tell you about that later. Keep you posted! Titia.

Well, I can tell you missed a great performance. I have seen him in the Friday evening show and I really enjoyed it! He told us that he really enjoyed skating in the show. Hopefully you can see him some other time!
His exhibition program is funny and exciting, he really is a showman. Very expressive! We were able to talk to him a few times now we do like him a lot!
I'm sure the Sunday afternoon show will be great as well!

Awww what a shame Manuela! Isn't there a chance you can come today? As of yesterday eve there were still some tickets available. It's really a great show and Jelle has a very special program. If you check on AS www.absoluteskating.com the latest news item is the first photopage of the show, which includes a pic of Jelle. .... and no, he didn't go entirely naked in the end We really like him, he is a fun outgoing guy, with a passion for skating and it shows. He really tries very hard to not only put on an entertaining program, but also filled with actual content, great steps and jumps included. All 3 belgian boys do Jorik, Jelle and Ruben. We sat with Joan Haanappel and Sjoukje Dijkstra two days ago and they marveled about how they really try to do all, even tho it's hard with all the showlighting and the many spots. I 100% agree. Those 3 together and the 3 english boys (alex, david & elliot) are a dangerous pack and combined with the top ladies (Ira, Kirana, Ellen, Barbara,) and Kevin and Jenna added to the mix are a powerful sight! Excuse me if I forgot some names, there are 75 skaters in this show

no, we weren't able to make it today either... had another event to go to (musical from my daughters school) but i agree with everything you have said about Jelle... he sure is a fun outgoing guy and i really am proud to call him a friend. i did see his exhibition program during the gala of our own club and yes.. it is very much an expressive and filled program
i also love watching Ruben and Jorik, seen them during the Belgian Championships where my daughter competed as well.
next year i hope we will be able to come see the show !!

What a great show! Kevin was as good as always but they seem to have a new boy coming. I can't remember his name but he skated to the Pink Panther. Too bad he singled out his 3Flip jump but everythingelse was there! Good jumps, fast spins and great foot work to! Not to mention his spectacular presentation! WAOW!

Welcome to AS manucot To pink pather? This dude? (Jelle Butzen) Belgium has 3 new stars on the horizon. The top 3 from the belgian nats, last year in juniors. Jorik (1), Ruben (2) and Jelle (3). Each 3 has their own specific talent, all 3 seem very motivated and I am sure it will do wonders for them competing against each other, improving results for all 3 (push each other up). We saw that happening in training already, as many people can tell you, skaters have the tendency to have sort of jumpcomps (what you can, I can too ) on a friendly basis. Long term that usually works out positive for all of them, so Belgium can be happy about that. I'd personally watch out for all 3! Did you see the entire photopage on the site? www.absoluteskating.comAs for Kevin, I wouldn't count him out just yet.. but more about that later (on the site)
