Thank you for posting this information. I will plan to see him here in the USA at Lake Placid, which is only 80 miles from my home. I'm so excited. Will this Slovak finally get to see and hopefully meet this exciting Czech???!!

Hi all! I didn't think we'd know the assignments until later this summer. I know Daph doesn't like Paris , but I'll definitely plan and buy tickets to go. This will be my first live figure skating comp, even though I've been watching for jeesh... 15 years now? Yeah it is early in the year, but hopefully Tomas will be better prepared for early-season. Either way, look at that field... the frenchies, Oda, Rippon, Voronov... should be very exciting. I will let you know if I want to share accomodation. It sounds like a good idea, but my boyfriend might want to come along (to see Paris, as he doesn't know anything about figure skating)... and in that case we'd get our own. Also... that's my birthday week! C'mon Tomas! Edit: Eeeee, and I wrote the above before even looking at the women's side! Mao, Yu-Na, Carolina and... what... SASHA COHEN? This will be epic.

p.s. When are the tickets available and how much do they usually cost (single event & all event). I already know they'd be released here: www.ticketnet.fr/Are they specific seats or free seating?

IIRC you don't know which is for which event...or well you can suspect smthing based on last year but then still they can switch it at last minute I will get cat.1 I suppose, and nothing for the gala as it's too expensive if I will be sitting in the assigned seats of course is the question

Do you know if Cat 3 is a lot worse of a view than Cat I? Like, do you end up looking at a big screen or is it clear enough to see people on the ice? I saw a diagram of the venue but it's hard to tell what the distance will actually be like.
p.s. My boyfriend just told me he'd go. He must love me to put up with two days of figure skating. We'll get a hostel room somewhere. p.p.s. Nevermind, I just bought all Category 1 tickets. Life is short... and maybe my parents will cover the cost as my birthday present !

YES,an excuse more to go to the Paris GP !!Actually I wanted to leave it this year, cause of Euros, but seeing THAT field made me change minds.....will find a way to afford both !! Also... that's my birthday week! C'mon Tomas! Mineeee,as well !!This is our week,so we'll operate like lucky charms for Tomas and Carolina !! p.p.s. Nevermind, I just bought all Category 1 tickets. Life is short... and maybe my parents will cover the cost as my birthday present ! Exactly my view on this subject and the same tactic(like "Ppl I don't want any gifts, sponsor me TEB and I'll be the happiest girl on earth" !!!
