Hi All - (long time no speak;) looks like the season's well under way.
Just thought i'd mention I read on another site that Domnina/Shabalin have withdrawn from NHK, so if it goes to form them S&J have a shot at silver there, and maybe their first GP final - would be good to see. (Shame for the D&S though).
All the best, Spence.

I heard that as well. I don't know why though. So I was hoping (as was everyone else) that S&J would be second, but third is excellent.. and the best thing is that they were quite a bit ahead of #4!! I brought my laptop to the rink (where I coach) this morning and showed the girls Sinead and John's CD and OD and they were in awe. I told them that this is the kind of ice dancing I like. It's not all about the Dutch Waltz.

Congratulations on getting bronze. Their basic skating scores were very good. Well done guys.
However, some of the element scores are still quite low - level 2s for step sequences both in Finlandia Trophy and now in Paris. Let's hope they can work with Evgeny to get up to a level 3 or 4 by NHK ...
Silver in Japan ... here's hoping ...

Yes, they will definitely need level 3..... I´m sure they´ll "fix it" till NHK Does anybody know what the 2 point deduction Tessa&Scott got was for? ....all their pairs moves/lift/jump?!! ....that IS a jump she does "off of him" isn´t it!!!! I am a fan of theirs too, but a bit worried about where this FD program is going....

.....forgot to apologise to S&J for my stupid remarks on the FD costumes...... The vid. from TEB was of much better quality than the one from Finland.... ..I get it now! ...sorry.... It´s beautiful!!!!!

I'm not sure what the deductions are for and I'm not sure they did either as they sat in K&C. I did notice that Tessa's earring slipped out during the ending pose. That could be one? I'm pretty sure it wasn't any of the elements they did (the "jump") off Scott.. I don't think they would take the chance on including them in their programs if they hadn't already made sure it was ok. I watched some of the FDs last night. I did notice S&J's opening spin was a little bit slower that what I think is the usual, but other than that, I thought everything looked strong for this point in the season! Sometimes I can hardly imagine how some of these skaters can get their programs even stronger than they already are! I think there might have been a couple out of sync spots.. but that'd be nitpicky. Dress is even more gorgeous when the feed comes in clear!! I couldn't help but think as they stood on the podium that Sinead will always receive her medal in the best of dresses and John will always be all torn up! I'm not sure I got the total picture with Nathalie and Fabian's dance. Does anyone know the story? Forgot to add that I was amused by watching the award ceremony. I wish that Ice Network would show the gala live, but I'm not going to complain too much as we get the whole competition!
