Interesting. That's too bad they won't be able to be there. I suppose it probably isn't a good idea to train that hard after oral surgery and even a few days can be quite significant at this point before the final. I also like their skating a lot better than Jana and Sergei's. It will be interesting to see how S&J do against them.

that means Crone/Poirier in the final? Wow, if S&J get better scores for their FD so they can beat the french team, they can even reach the podium

Yay if Crone/Porier make it--I like them! Yeah, they must all be scared of S&J. Yes, the Jana & Sergei I saw in Lake Placid were not the Jana and Sergei I expected to see.

I think it shows that there a lot more to this sport than points, the pressure on the mind, nevermind the body must be staggering.
i watched jana & sergei and was truely shocked by there performances, whats going on you think ? injuries ?

We really weren't sure what was up with those two. Perhaps they weren't well? I'm used to seeing a lot of spunk on tv/computer, but I saw almost none of it there. They hit points in the music that made the audience laugh but it just looked like they were struggling. Granted I want S&J to place higher than them, but I do not wish for them to do poorly! I was shocked myself.
Yeah.. I think it is also a strategic move this season as far as whether or not to participate in the GPF. Time and energy may be better spent preparing for the Olympics. I'm curious to see if everyone else stays in.

Were it down to me, I would give John and Sinead the Silver medal now (hence my nickname on here) as the only couple I would place above them is Virtue and Moir. However, the judges like Davis and White so much that the Scots will be battling it out for bronze with Pechalat/Bourzat. Still, let's look on the bright side. They have reached their first GPF. Woohoo! Was sorry to hear that Brian Joubert has withdrawn, but really pleased for Tomas Verner. I think he is very artistic and when he can master the jumps too he is very exciting to watch.

To be fair to D/W, I think they have great transitions and constantly keep their skating moving, however, I do think they often receive higher marks disproportionate to others. Not to say others such as S&J don't have great transitions too.. just that there is a great quality to D/W's skating that I think should be rewarded. I have never seen them live. I would like to and see what I think! I would like to see S&J closer to them in scores but I think you are right.. they'll probably be battling for bronze! Still pretty awesome.
I didn't hear about Brian yet. I'm very happy for Tomas! Have to go read why Brian w/d.

I agree 100%, V&M, D&W and Sinead&John are my top three too! ....I keep my fingers crossed for a GPF-silver for our darling scots!

Great outlook. It's ok--that means they're not peaking too early.

And at least they have scope to improve by some way, which hopefully is enough to beat those already peaking, who are in front of them.
