I saw an article on icenetwork in which DelSchoes said that they may not compete at Euros and instead debut their programs at the Olympics. If they don't, it does give S&J somewhat more of a chance of medalling at Euros though I hope it's not because of injury or something, though from the tone of the article it doesn't sound like it. I've just read that Delobel/Schoenfelder have actually withdrawn.

Just checked the entries on the ISU website. Delobel/Schoenfelder are NOT competing at Euros!

So the 2nd French team have D&S's slot, in effect. Maybe not in 1st place but in direct competition with S&J.

Interesting.......... So is that Crone and Priorier (or however it is spelt) going in DelSchoes place? I think they finished just behind S&J last time and I think (hope!) they will again. It's still going to be difficult for S&J with DomShabs returning (providing they get through the competition, of course) plus Faiella/Scali, Pechalet/Bourzat and Khoklova/Novitski, but I'm confident that S&J can medal again!

Florida, Crone and Poirier are from Canada the substitutes for D/S are Zoe Blanc and Pierre-Loup Bouquet (he's very nice btw, and speaks a bit of spanish ) It'll be very difficult, but it's not impossible to get a medal

I'm really looking forward to these Euro's (Or what we will get to see of it). The Ice Dance event should be one of the most open in recent history. It may dent Delobel & Schoenfelder's Olympic gold medal hope's by not competing at the European's. Judges like to watch the routines several times before giving great marks. Remember Turin 2006?. The Bulgarians & Fusar-Poli & Margaglio did not go to the Europeans & their routines were scrappy & error ridden.

And French is one of the two official languages in Canada.

Judging by K/N's performance at SA, I can't pit them against S&J but they have been 'in hiding' since then so it'll be interesting to see what they worked on. I don't really think I've seen as much improvement from them. It'll also be interesting to see how P/B are after P's foot injury. I'm sure it's probably feeling better by now.. or at least better than before, though it didn't seem to stop them, just slow them down. I would put F/S behind S&J, but I don't know how the judges feel about it. It's just been so long since we've seen DomShabs that I'm totally on them. I also agree with DelSchoes--going to be harder for them with missing important competitions prior.

Unfortunately I'm not sure judges would agree with me. Wishing S&J lots of luck!!! S&J for silvery sounds good to me! I think DomShabs will win, even if they don't skate particularly well because the judges just seem to love them, for some reason. K/N have changed their FD, I think, so that will be an unknown factor. They did poorly in the GP series so it will be interesting to see if they've improved enough and how much the judges are prepared to hold them up in a major competition. I think F/S should finish below S&J (they should have got silver last year!) but I don't know whether they will. If DomShabs again have trouble with his knee (which is a real possibility, sadly) then it would leave the field wide open.
