:-*Thank you for the link, digitus quintus! So, for the German media it still seems Stephane has to prove why he became 2 time World champion... Actually, I didn't read it like this at all, nike 2010. I thought those few sentences were very complimentary of Stéphane.

Okay... I've taken approx. 4000 pictures at World's Best on Ice last night. Especially the pics of William Tell are great. But I will need some time to edit them for upload so I'm not sure if I can upload them today. I enjoyed the show very much. Thanks to Ramani I got press accreditation (I still want to marry you because of this, Ramani... ) and stood near the skater's entrance. During Florent's second program Stéphane stood right behind me and watched. You can imagine where my concentration went. The show was not sold out, but the crowd was awesome. So much applause and cheering and Stéphane was so happy. He had much fun during William Tell and the finale and he got many red roses (have some nice pictures of him with them). After the show Ramani, efosko, schnaddel, two friends of mine and I went to the back entrance of the rink and arrived there when the bus with the skaters leaved. Stéphane waved to us and looked very happy. It was a fantastic evening.

World's Best on Ice KrefeldPart I: Traveling to König-Palast This is the little story of five crazy skating fans who went to World's Best on Ice in Krefeld/Germany. We met around 5 pm at faelkchen's place in Düsseldorf to go to Krefeld together. We = faelkchen, efosko, two „newbies“ (friends of faelkchen) and myself. With the help of faelkchen's Navigation Systems, we tried to find a fast way to König-Palast. The distance is about 35 km, so we hoped to get to the arena by 6 pm. Had I known before that there will be one construction site after the other on the way to Krefeld, I would have chartered a helicopter. The whole trip was a continuous stop and go and took us nearly 2 hours. Also it was the hottest day of the year to date with about 26°C. Needless to say that everyone was very thankful for my car's AC. In Krefeld we found many roads blocked because of constructions – again. Also police had already closed the main roads around the arena for public traffic. But thanks to faelkchen's accreditation we had permission to use VIP parking and were allowed to pass all road barriers. To cut a long trip short, we finally arrived at the rink by 7:15 ! Gotta say that I was really down the drain. Driving – better to say trying to drive – in the warmth, time getting shorter and shorter, urgent need for ... no fun so far. Had to think of all those who might be waiting at the arena entrance to sign the banner... Since we didn't find any banner signers then, we decided to grab something to eat and find our seats. ... to be continued ...
