Oh my dear Kevin He got this great look in his eyes at the beginning of his skate! Made me feel really great about his upcomming skate. Things went pretty fine at the 3A and 3A/2T combo. But then his 3F/3T/3L went wrong and to me it looked like he lost it there. Thing is that he planned three 2A I don't know what is wrong with tonights men FS but a lot of them are going wrong somewhere in their program . Anyway, I think and I believe that Kevin did the best he could for tonight. Like always, I think he is a wonderful skater with so much love and passion for the sport. I congratulate him anyway with his Olympic appereance in Vancouver.

Wow titia, that you are able to find so many words... I am sad.. and yet proud. We saw Kevin fight, and it perhaps wasn't what we;d all hoped it would be, he tried and he never gave up. The soul of a true sportsman. Kevin you rule!

Hoi Kevin,
Groetjes, Karen

I felt the same way as titia when I saw him start I thought... we're in for a treat! Still I thought his overall performance of elements Kevin usually isn't that focused on were great, and well, sometimes it doesn't go the way you want it too...
And then for the boic who are quick to say they are dissapointed, but maybe they should have shown a little more support for an athlete they had such high hopes for. I'm sure that knowing it was his last olympics and knowing that he was in a great position were a little too much pressure for Kevin and he should have been supported in the best way...

You can say that again SKE! I blame them for not knowing their athlete. I mean, if they paid a little more attention to him, talk with him and get to know, they should know that he put everything in it and even more than that and that he's a person you should not pressure like that. If you treat an Olympic athlete like that, I'm sure future athletes might think: I'm proud to be at the Olympics, but now way I am going to give any of the credits to the BOIC...
