So sad. I'm really upset. I've been watching them since the 2004 Euro's & have loved every skate (even the bad one's !). They made so many people want to watch Ice Dance again & their choreography was always far more interesting than some of the higher ranked couples. I can say with complete honesty that I will miss them more than any other couple that has retired in the past 10 years. But they can be satisfied that they gave their best & should be so proud of everything that they have done. GOOD LUCK JOHN & SINEAD I agree Maz. Sinead and John join a long line of ice dancers who brought us much joy, but who never got the proper recognition from the judges because they were so innovative ... the Duschesnays, Rahkamo and Kokko, Bourne and Kraatz, Drobiazko and Vanagas, Winkler and Lohse John and Sinead were just as great as these pairings. I wish them all the best for the future ...

While they may not always have been given proper recognition by judges, their names will be the ones remembered. That's something special.

Competitive ice dance isn't going to be the same without John and Sinead! I'll definitely miss seeing them compete both in national and international competitions! I've always respected John and Sinead for doing what they wanted to do, not what the judges wanted them to do! Each year they brought originality and you could certainly never guess what they would come up with next! Good luck John and Sinead in your future endeavors and here's to good health and happiness!

I'll miss them in the competitive ranks--dance won't be the same.. but I definitely do look forward to seeing what they will come up with without having to set limits on their creativity!!

Not sure where to post this, but, weren't they supposed to be at Stockholm Ice?! Iwas disappointed to find out they didn't perform.
