Is it very cold in Bern now ? Since I live in Basle and its not that cold... Seeing the audience wrapped up like that makes me shiver for them ;D

I need to try something else. Anyway, thanks everyone for your reports and photos, besides the cold rink it sounds like a great event so far! May it continue!

Mens short! 2 last warmup groups in progress. Brian - dislike his costume (I usually do), he seemed a bit unsure in all the elements from the beginning... and it resulted in a fall (3Lutz), 2nd half was a bit better. But it definitely wasn't "Brian" today. Kristoffer - my beloved Amelie music! not a good start of the program But I just love his movement on ice and always creative programs! Javier - always cracks me up. I remember the Nu Pogodi cartoon from my childhood ;D Aw, no, too much time spend down on ice poor boy. But I'm sure he'll fight back as a true pirate!

Kevin! The jumping machine is on! Yes! What a skate!
Tomas - ouch that 3A! But such a lovely program, playful as always, steps just great!
Artur - shaky 3A, but otherwise a good skate. I am not loving but not hating, he still has a way to go. Now he goes to lead.
Well, with still 1 group to go, looks like the free skates will be interesting! So far: 1 Q Artur GACHINSKI RUS 73.76 39.00 34.76 7.14 6.43 7.11 7.04 7.04 0.00 #22 2 Q Kevin VAN DER PERREN BEL 73.61 39.65 33.96 6.89 6.43 6.96 6.82 6.86 0.00 #20 3 Q Tomas VERNER CZE 72.91 36.38 37.53 7.46 7.14 7.54 7.64 7.75 1.00 #21 4 Q Brian JOUBERT FRA 70.44 34.90 36.54 7.43 6.86 7.32 7.39 7.54 1.00 #17 5 Q Kristoffer BERNTSSON SWE 66.62 33.05 33.57 6.46 6.36 6.75 6.96 7.04 0.00 #18

I'm very sad that my favourites (Koffe, Tomas and Adrian) didn't do well today...

Michal - just fabulous! no words. just please do something similar tomorrow. Samuel - hahaha, another fun spreading person. the suit really suits him. nice skate! The point differences are so tight between everyone! Anton - just 2A for the beginning... and then doubled almost everything. not his day. Alban - the ice definitely is very slippery today... Florent - the jumps look so easy! slight stumble in the step seqence. but overall great job! he leads. out of pure patriotism, I think I preferred Michal, but I am not angry obout this placement. Adrian - 4Toe fall, some really interesting movements, which he always has. But 15th?!?! Overall reusults: www.isuresults.com/results/ec2011/SEG004.HTMSaturday is a completely new day, anything can happen. Wish everyone lots of luck for the free!

Adrian - 4Toe fall, some really interesting movements, which he always has. But 15th?!?! I took a look at the protocols, and Adrian's 4T was UR. Moreover, he didn't have a combination, so that cost him dearly.

wow, i'm so happy for Florent! and it's such a shame about these silly falls for Javier! the top 3 after men's short is a bit surprising, but at the same time i'm quite pleased with it as for pairs...well i really rooted for S/S, so i'm glad they won. even though i have to admit maybe K/S would've deserved it a bit more based on the free skate... but still, the quality of S/S makes it up for me. so i'm really happy for them

lambieladdicted, it is not so cold OUTSIDE, but it is colder INSIDE, hence the blankets. Kadri, Robin and Aljona messed up sth big, but K/S made a lot of small mistakes. Aside that, their program comes accross a bit "cold", but who can blame them in this ice rink Actually, it looks like Yuka is not feeling so well, seeing how pale she looks, no smiles at all (unlike her) and that Moskvina even takes off her own coat to wrap her up. We get a lot for free here. Tissues, programs, roses, gummibears. We were wondering if we would light a fire with the tissues and the programs if it would get a bit warmer

i'm trying to stream this during my bio lecture right now... don't know if it's because the signal's too weak here or it's the links not working in Canada. oh well, i guess i'll have to work along with the live results off of isuresults

don't know if it's because the signal's too weak here or it's the links not working in Canada. I'm a Canuck, too, and I was able to watch the British Eurosport coverage of the Men's SP yesterday at this website: www.fromsport.com/c-11.html I hope it works for you!
