Thanks to everyone for videos and translations! by the way I agree, I wouldn't like to see him back to competitions now, he went on so much with the artistic and entertaining level But still it's so much fun to see his competitive spirit in things like that lol

Thank you, littleely!, for finding this video (which is the trailer of a 45 minutes interview, I guess. There are sharp cuts in this video and it's not always quite clear what they are talking about). The whole interview must have been broadcasted last thursday on a private TV channel (Teleclub), with repetition on Sunday 8th at 8.25 am and again tuesday 12th at 5.50 pm, cet. Maybe somebody can see and post it?
In the beginning (of this trailer) Stephane tells that already as a child he liked to be in the center and share with others, wished to be a showman. He trained with his sister and first wanted to stop skating when she stopped (…), but that he soon realized that he just HAD to be on the ice, it was in his blood. (…)He needs a rhythm and a lot of passion, he just has to give a hundred percent in whatever he does. When he takes a decision … then it's decided … and that's it. (…)Question: "You say you're a bit crazy, what do you mean by that?". Stephane answers that he can take his decisions quite instantly without reflecting much, but he feels something and trusts his sensations. That maybe it's a bit crazy sometimes, but he believes it's also a strength.
(In continuation, I guess they are talking either about the time when Stephane skipped the Warsaw Europeans in 2007? Or the time he was injured in 2008 and retired?): Question is if he knows what it feels like to get demoralized and to loose courage? Stephane: "In such times you need time for yourself. After seven months I took a break and did not go on the ice for two or three months. It meant to get away from it all, think about nothing, no physiotherapy, just doing nothing. After this period you can restart and find new goals. But if you feel like pressed against a wall, you cannot continue, you have to 'switch off' and wait". Question: What was he doing during that time? Stephane: "I don't remember. It was a break, I was not present, I was off, also in my mind. I cannot even tell how long this situation lasted, two or three months. It was a break, a time out, like frozen, like a frozen computer which you have to restart".
Finally the interviewer asks Stephane if he could imagine to have a family, or so, in the future. Stephane answers that this would be great but not possible at the moment with the live he actually lives, but that it would be "super".

Thank you for sharing the full version of the "Persönlich" interview . Translation: "In Person"Today a guest who was two times world champion in figure skating, who participated eight times at Europeans and eight times at Worlds, who skated during 10 years on top level, retired in 2010 and did not get any quieter ever since. (Sequence people saying - nice - things about him one of them saying he's a handsome man). Today he's here, this handsome man. Isn't it nice to be welcomed this way? It's pleasant when people recognize me either in the streets or in train, when they ask for a picture, I like this kind of contact. It seems you give a lot of joy to people with what you do since years? Well, it's important to feel the audience when you're on the ice. Already in the beginnings I loved to have my place in the center and to share with others, to be a showman.(Now follows the part of his beginnings, I skip it because I think we all know it, more or less). You are talking about enjoying, savoring your time, what does this mean for you exactly? Because one often thinks that a figure skater has to renounce to so many things. Yes, of course. I need a good balance. There's a lot of training, traveling, not much time with friends. But as soon as I have a free moment I try to enjoy. When I'm in Zurich I love to walk along the lake, or I go shopping, it just has to be a good balance. (Again sequence of people giving their - positive - opinion about Stephane). There's just nothing negative about you, you really are 'everybody's darling'. Are you aware of this?Well, I don't really want this to be 'my image'. But it comes as it comes … it 's nice actually that people spontaneously think this is the way I am. How would YOU say you are?A bit crazy, but I can also be calm. But I need a certain rhythm and a lot of passion, I have to give a hundred percent in whatever I do, I cannot to things at just fifty percent. I take a decision, .. and that's it! 'A bit crazy' means I can take decisions very instantly, without thinking much, but I feel it's right for me and I trust my sensations. Maybe this is a bit crazy sometimes, but I believe it's also a strengths. Did it happen to you that you took wrong decisions out of your gut instinct? It wasn't 'wrong decisions'. But I had to find solutions … it's an experience. I think you do not do right or wrong things in life. You just do something and sometimes it's for good right away and sometimes it's negative at first, but after a while you realize it's good because it's an experience. For example it has been very hard for me in 2008 with a bad injury of my adductors. I've seen too many doctors, I wanted to skate at all costs. But it didn't work, I was not in good health. So, after seven months I said: "Ok, that's it, I have to stop". I thought about it a lot, but I had to take this decision. After I met a physiotherapist with whom I was working a lot. Because I wanted to have a life with health, to be able to go skying when I wanted to. But with this injury it was not possible to do sports. It has really been a difficult decision in 2008. Because, as I said before, if it's in your blood and you can do nothing against an injury, you need lots of patience, people around who help you. You want to know what to do but you don't. I think for a sportsman injuries are the most difficult thing to handle. I know footballers who said that in such moments they feel like having a black wall in front, like falling into a hole and not finding the way out emotionally after such a decision. Did you know times in which you felt demoralized and lost courage? In those times you need time for yourself. After seven months I took a break and did not go on the ice for two or three months. It meant to get away from it all, to think about nothing, no physiotherapy, just doing nothing. After this period you can restart and find new goals. But if you feel like pressed against a wall, you cannot continue, you have to 'switch off' and wait. What have you been doing during that time?I do not remember. It was a break, I was not present, I was off, also in my mind. I cannot even tell how long this situation lasted, two or three months. It was a break, a time-out, like frozen, like a frozen computer which you have to restart. In 2010 you retired a second time. In retrospective has this been the good decision? The day after Olympia I thought "Oh my god. Shit". Really, it was chaotic. Why you thought like that?Because I had been practicing so much, I absolutely wanted to win this gold medal, and then 4th place. During my performance I felt, that it will not be going to happen. I did not even want to fight for a bronce medal. I felt during the first minute that it won't be enough for the gold medal. This has been a big disappointment for me. But today, 2013, almost four years later, I can say that it had been a very good decision. Because today I am healthy. I enjoy very much being on the ice, I enjoy practicing, I am on the ice every day. That's my job, my life, and I am able to be on the ice every day, without pain. Is there a 'Stephane Lambiel' without figure skating, without ice? Of course, I am very open and I like show business. The whole year long I was on tour with "Rock Circus". It has been a very nice experience and I learned a lot. Acting, to sing and dance an on a stage. It has been a very different atmosphere. And it will help me in my future as choreographer and as skater. There is not only figure skating, I just want to learn a lot and continue developing.(Follows a short clip with Stephane singing at AOI this year and sequences of 'My body is a cage' from last year). It has been surprising for all of us that you can also sing. It was a courageous performance of you at AOI. Will you sing in the coming year too? I won't. I liked to do it, to be in a studio and to make a video clip. It has been a new world for me and I had lot's of fun.
Can you tell a bit about 2014? You have already talked with "Hurts", what can we expect? It seems that there will be much more of a collaboration this time? We are rehearsing at the moment, the whole show has to be created. It will be really special. The artist playing in the first part is a virtuoso pianist, Khatia Buniatishvili. I have seen her before during 'Verbier Festival' last summer. She is just unbelievable, with a lot of passion, exactly what I like. And very classical, no cross-over, real classical music. She will play, for example, a concerto of Rachmaninov, with orchestra. This I've never seen at AOI before and I can't wait for it to happen. "Hurts" will appear in the second part. It will be very different, more 'electro' more dramatical, also with lots of passion, a lot of heart. I talked with them already about the song I will skate to. We still have to find some compromises, but it's under process. We have a good connection and will make the best out of it.
Before you told me that your knees are hurting sometimes. Is this problem bothering you all the time, also during the preparation for AOI 2014, for example? I think all sportsmen have a weak point, my knees have always been my weak point. I just have to be cautious for it to remain as it is. It's not that dangerous. I know my body and know what to do or not. I need a good warming-up, a lot of physiotherapy, stretching and I'm doing 'pilates'. This is part of my schedule, to follow my own rhythm, I know what I need.
We have been talking about your physical weaknesses, and about your strong points. What are your week points you would want to do differently sometimes? I don't know. I have no regrets. I have done everything I wanted to do. When I listen to a music and can imagine it on the ice, I do it. I tell my choreographer, Salome Brunner, that I want to skate to this music. Sometimes she is shocked and asks if I am really sure about it. Then I show her an improvisation of what I imagined and after she usually says: "O.k., we are going to do this choreography". I just go forward … and then I cannot say it was wrong. I don't think one does something wrong.
Follows a sequence of a man 'reading' faces, who can see strong and week points of a person by analyzing his fascial features. (It looks as if he uses a video of Stephane singing during one of his St. Petersburg fan-meetings for his analysis )
Stephane's strong points according to this: Stephane Lambiel, a very charming personality. There is his hot temper with lots of fervor. His eyebrows are extremely pronounced. He is a very versatile artist. When seeing him on the ice … he has so much musical talent … this can also be seen in the inner ear. And he has very multisided musical talents. He's a good dancer, actor, even singer. Maybe he could or can paint too. There's a lot of skin between his eyebrows and his eyes and this gives evidence that he also has good communication skills. More of it he's linguistically gifted. He has the talent for foreign languages. One more of his talents is his ability to enjoy, to take pleasure, including sensually. This can be seen in his strongly pronounced underlips, it means he's an absolute 'bon vivant'. This all belongs to him, his emotions; he's an unbelievably charming personality, he can enjoy and gives joy to many people.
I guess it's correct what he says? Tell me, what's about sex and passion? I'm aware of what he's saying… . Well just enjoying, in french one would say I am 'un épicurien', I love to enjoy things.
That's where you get your strengths from. He also mentiones your musical skills. And is paining a topic for you? I like to paint, but I have no education in it. But… oh … I will show you something later…
I know what you mean. So painting IS a topic for you! But when you are not on the ice and when you're not painting what are you then doing in life. You will be in Russia soon, then in Japan and back for christmas. Are there also moments you do something completely different? I love cooking. When I'm at home I buy fresh vegetables and fruits. I like to cut vegetables and prepare for dinner with friends. I like baking cakes, to just to be in the kitchen, alone with my vegetables.
Many people who came here said that being out all the time they get used and need applauses and to be in the center. That they are lacking it when being home. Do you know this feeling too? When I am traveling I see many people and I like this contact. I have this adventure everywhere I go. I like other cultures, japanese food for example, I like to explore new things. But when at home I like it to be quiet, as I said, in my kitchen, or with my family, friends, to get a good balance.
Isn't it difficult in your very moving and busy live to have friends, besides your family? I am lucky. All my colleagues from the college are still my best friends, we see each other for a dinner or go out together, cinema, to drink something. They are my social net and it's nice. Unfortunately I don't see them often, but I have a strong bond with my friends.
Many people who live a similar life to yours get a lot of strength out of a partnership, from somebody who gives them company. Is this no topic for you? I find it great that Roger (Federer), for example, always has Mirka on his side. But for me it is difficult, I am often alone when 'on the road'. When I have a large schedule, being in China, Japan, it's difficult to organize.
Don't you miss another person? When I am traveling I don't think about this. I have friends where I am and try to enjoy the moment.
Could you imagine to have a family in the future? This would be great. But not possible at the moment with the life I actually live, but it would be 'super'.
You chose four cards. First one: baking cakes, to enjoy also sweets seems to be important for you? Maybe this is the weak point in me, I just need to have something sweet after supper, a piece of chocolate, a tea and biscuit, I love everything sweet. After christmas holidays for example I have to do more sports, jogging, then it's o.k. ...
2nd card: painting As a child I have been painting a lot. This card remembered me instantly at my childhood. I always painted my costumes. I did not have money in my purse but designs of my costumes. Designs of all my costumes and ideas about others costumes too.
Maybe designer would be an idea for your future… … I actually have the passion to have a business, I like to have ideas, I just need a good environment, a good team.
3rd card: the sky This card for two reasons. First the beach: I have a very small, traditional house in Portugal, directly at the beach and that's exactly what it looks like. That's where I can relax. And secondly the sky: I am in plains so often and that's all I see, sky, sky, sky….
Do you never have the wish, when restless on tour, to just have a break and be home? It happens when I am traveling that I'd wish to be home. But when at home, after 24 hours I feel like leaving again.
Will it happen one day that you will settle down, in Switzerland or elsewhere? I think yes, but I need action, I cannot stay quiet, that's not possible.
4th and last card: ladybug I have a huge collection of them ….
(story about them which we already know. I won't translate … unless somebody wishes it)
Where is your favorite place, in Portugal in your house or in your home in Switzerland? I live in Lausanne and in Saxon. I am happy when I am in Switzerland, never mind where. I do not yet know where I will stay ...
Thank you very much, Stephane (…)

Thank you for the video, littleely!
Interview is from before the last 'Rock Circus' show.
Summary: Stephane first tells how much and why he liked his time with 'Rock Circus' (…)
This year many shows will be scheduled. First the AOI tour with two new programs, and straight after the tour with Evgeni Plushenko in Russia. That means he will be on the ice very often and will need to prepare intensely during the months of january and february. After Evgeni's tour there would be shows in Asia. Besides he plans to create new programs for the shows to come towards the end of the year. Also choreographies for others. He is in contact with some skaters to create programs with them for the next season.
He says that he did not skate less last year because of 'Rock Circus', he just had a very tight schedule. And that, when being in good health, he can still do all the technical difficulties as before.
They are already preparing for AOI, he has been working with Salome on one of the programs and they started thinking about the second one. They will work intensely on both in january. One program would be very classical, the other one more dramatical, "pop-electro-dramatic". New costumes, new ideas, choreographies … and he likes doing all this. To the question if he had already met Khatia (Buniathishvili) to work with her on their joint program, Stephane answers that he called her and that they mailed and are in contact because he needed to know exactly how long and what exactly she wanted to play. It was important to plan together now, only one week before the show would be too late.
He is asked about his last years personal highlight. He says that he had really learned a lot with 'Rock Circus'. He had to practice his german, learn german texts on stage, take singing lessons. He thinks he matured a lot with 'Rock Circus'.
Yes, he also had the time for vacations. He takes time for himself whenever he has a week off, likes to be in the nature, at the beach in Portugal, with his family (…) and, after his flight back from Tokyo, he spent his Christmas together with his family.
