Yes, this video of Stéphane in Kazachstan really is cute, thanks !!! And seeing this, I keep thinking that I would never want to be the one who needs to explain such a choreography to a bunch of little children doing all kinds of other things than listen :-) As a fan it's nice to see them fooling around and having fun and I like it that they are 'touchy' people, but to get their attention when they are in such a mood, must be real hard ;-) Salut, Annelfie

We shouldn't be strict to them. They had party night before, then early train and press conference, I suppose they all were really-really tired. And when people are tired it's hard for them to concentrate. Also, my personal opinion, it was rather impolite that everything was in Russian. Most of people could understand, but Stephane couldn't.

Thank you so much for catching his triple axel and jump combinations on film! Wow Stephane! He may be retired from competition but his skills are sharp as ever.

Wow Stephane... This shows me that he is really beyond competition and medals. He doesn't have to do this, you know? He seems to be pursuing figure skating as a personal goal and not as an accolade. I'm also glad that he feels physically able to do this.

O, please, don't get me wrong. I didn't say this to say anything bad of the skaters. I know this is how it works in large groups, that, like you say, have jet-lagged people among them and all those other things going on. For them it's a way to enjoy themselves, to have a little fun together, to let go of the pressure. I can relate to that. And a think the 'speaker/choreographer' knows this too and in the end, the opening and final mostly are well done for what it needs to be. So I guess everybody knows how it works. Skaters know to concentrate on the right moment but have a little fun too, and 'speaker/choreographers' know they should let the group be a little loose because they need that. It's just that I wanted to draw some attention to the work of the 'speaker/choreographer', for them it's delicate work to get the opening and final choreo to be rehearsed with such a group of skaters in such an (understandable) mood. So well done from them !!! Although indeed, not very conveniant to not talk in a language everybody present can understand. But perhaps you cannot always find such language. :-) Salut, Annelfie

Stephanie2006, thanks for the video. I love that there is such respect for Stephane now and that he gets to be a dignitary for these events with the younger generation of skaters looking up to him
