Art on Ice expanding to China is a very good decision from a financial or growth point of view, so I think this important step bodes well for AOI in the future. The Chinese market is both the present and future , hopefully AOI will have some first rate marketing staff to help expand its Chinese presence. Stephane start learning Mandarin Chinese now! JK JK...as if he has the time. lol Stephane learning Mandarin is a nice idea! ;D BTW, his accent of saying 'thanks' in Chinese was unbelievably sweet. ;D It's kind of crazy for the Chinese audience - last year this time we were keeping the 'no figure skating gala' record, but a year later we have two top shows: Artistry On Ice(Brilliant cast this year too) and Art On Ice! Finally one local pre-show propogranda link for Art On Ice Shanghai : yule.baidu.com/news/show/2011-05-05/1313142404.htmlThe tickets have not been on sale yet but seems it's just a time thing. Price already out as on the poster :180 ~ 880 CNY.

Hi everyone. Seems like I'm writing on this MB "usually" around the time of Yuna's shows... But better than nothing, right? So here are a few more bits about All That Skate Spring in Seoul this weekend.
The show is beginning today, Korean time, at 8pm, and scheduled for 2 more shows on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a dress rehearsal today at 2pm before the first show, for those holding special tickets. Skaters participating this time -
Yuna Kim Stephane Lambiel Ilia Kulik Ekaterina Gordeeva Brian Joubert Jeremy Abbott Alissa Czisny Minjung Kwak Haejin Kim Shen & Zhao Zhang & Zhang Pechalat & Bourzat
The show's theme will be "Rock & Disco". One of the group numbers will include songs by Lady GaGa. The finale will feature the Korean girl group "Miss A". A press conference for the show was already held, but Stephane didn't take part in it this time. Ilia Kulik and Ekaterina Gordeeva, along with Yuna and David Wilson did instead.
Stephane WILL skate "Don't Stop the Music" and "Bring Me to Life". And apparently, from what was revealed, Stephane will have a few moments of "duet" with Yuna in one of these group numbers.
I'm going to the first and last show - both in the nosebleed section though... Just impossible to get these front row seats, gol. Maybe I can have good enough views to write some impressions about the show afterwards...

Sunnygirl - it's good to see you writing again it's totally OK that you write in time of Yu-Na shows but I wouldn't have anything against to read you more often LOL Thank you, pia =) So it's a good thing that Stephane comes to Yuna's shows often, so I can visit this MB at least at those times LOL... Anyhow, I come back from the first of the ATSS show. And... wow... just another amazing show... People who come back from the show will need time to post photos and videos, so by this time tomorrow, there will be plenty for you to look at - and I mean plenty... But before I go to bed now, I just have to express my first impressions about Stephane in the show. He was just amazing all around, as usual, but I must first tell you about "Don' Stop the Music". This program is in a class of its own, even among Stephane's own programs. Just so... wow, what can I say... so unique. It was so dramatic, like watching a 3-minute short movie. Stephane's in a suit, his bow tie untied, looking like a post-party scene, with definitely a few tequilas... He's just being a young guy, sometimes confused, sometimes rebellious, sometimes vulnerable, still cocky, but in need of a bit of lovin'. He crawls on the ice a lot... he shakes his hands and arms, he even does a bit of moonwalking... I'm impressed time and time again what an amazingly expressive character Stephane is. At the first note of the music, he had the audience in his grasp. He was out there, on the ice, having something to tell, and his story demands attention. There was a middle-aged Korean guy sitting behind me, and he kept on giving out chummy laughs during Stephane's program, like he was saying "That's my boy!". Stephane had made this Korean guy, probably not a figure skating fan, relate to his story. Well, that's my interpretation. Would love to hear others. One thing is for sure. Nobody else in the world can do this program except Stephane. And I have one more chance to see it. Yeay! For now, I go and die...

Thank you so much for the report, sunnygirl! Now I am dying to see the new program! ;D ;D ;D It will be really hard to live through the long working day tomorrow to see the promised plenty of videos pia, thanks a lot for the photos! What I really like about all the Korean ice galas is that they do these great group numbers with different themes and always new amazing costumes. Looking forward to see what they came up with this time
