Thank you for all the links! I guess, Stephane will skate one of his programs to a piece of the pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, as in a short report about AOI in a swiss radio station (radio24) he said (very enthusiastically ) that it was a dream for him to skate with Khatia, "just unbelievable". That Oliver had told him a month ago, Khatia would play for AOI, and that he couldn't believe it. "I said: no! You're joking! It can't be true! But: Yes, yes, yes, she will come!"

Yes, that's the link, thank you, reut! And no, there is nothing more by Stephane. He talks just those maybe 20 seconds in this short clip presenting the new acts of AOI.

Thank you for video, reut!
Translation:
Q: Stephane, are you satisfied with the music choice this year? Stephane: I am very happy with it. It was a nice surprise for me. A month ago Oliver told me that Khatia Buniatishvili would come. I did not believe it at first. It has been like a dream coming true. Now we got to know each other and want to talk about the choreography and about what she will play. We want to work and create the best together, on our respective stages. With "Hurts" too. It's one of my favorite groups. I've seen them before at a festival. They are incredible with strong songs. I like their dramatic compositions, it's not only pop but a lot of feeling, strong. I like this modern style with 'electro'. It goes well with figure skating. Q: Are there memories which connect you to the music of "Hurts"? Steph: The memory of the festival. You know, cool bands on the stage, you are with friends, it's just a nice atmosphere. I hope we can create the same together with figure skating, there must be a liaison between the stage and the ice. Q: Do you have a favorite song to which you want to skate? Steph: Yes, well, it's difficult to choose, there are many cool songs. All the hits are unbelievable. But there are many unknown songs which would also be really nice to skate to. We now listen to all the songs every day to find the best one for the show. I think within a few weeks time I will know to which one I will skate. Q: What do you expect from the show? Steph: To have fun with Khatia and "Hurts", to let the emotions come, to open and (makes gesture of flying), have fun. Q: There's a show every year: how you (AOI) manages to have a highlight every year and to continue growing. It must be really difficult? Steph: I don't see … well ... it's a step-up, but it's different every year. The vibes are different every year. Last year I flew to London to meet Leona and soon I felt how it could be with her and what we could do together. Now, here it's a very different atmosphere, everybody is busy working for the show. When the audience is inspired by all the artists and skaters it creates a certain vibration. People are coming for this vibration, for the moments which provoke goose bumps, standing ovations. The creation of this (atmosphere) starts today and here. When I am talking to Khatia I already can imagine how to skate to the music. That's the collaboration we have together. Q: What are the steps to take till the opening night? Steph: It's october now, the show will start end of february. We have some month but time goes fast and we have to be quick. With Khatia I will talk a lot about the music she will play, if it will be with or without orchestra, or only piano. Then I will have to choose the music cuts and create the choreography to it. I will do it with my choreographer Salome Brunner during hours on the ice. Also there are the costumes and the lightening concept. Oliver is in charge of the staging with the dancers. Do we need the dancers or not. There's a lot to do in not much time, we have to work fast. Q: Stephane, what's your motivation to continue with AOI? Steph: I do not need any further motivation. This year I have the best bands with Khatia and "Hurts". That's motivation enough. It's a honor to skate with those artists. I can hardly wait till it starts. Q: In the past years you continued to surprise us, will there be another surprise? Steph: Sure. The surprise is already to be with Khatia and "Hurts". It will be something special. I have already a good feeling with Khatia, we just have to find each another and then it will work out well. Q: Will you be singing again? Steph: No, not this year. I can relax. Laureen will be there, I don't know, maybe she will do the opening. So I will not have to do it like last year.
Khatia part:
Q: What does it mean to you to be part of AOI? K: It's a totally new world in my career because it means to have a different audience and it's a meeting with other, very talented, professional and in their profession successful people. I would not call them 'sportsmen' but dancers on the ice. This mixture of diverse artists meeting an audience who are actually not fans of the classical and do not represent the elitist face of classical music. It's ordinary people listening to pop, rock and other styles, who get the chance to listen to classical music without getting discomfortable, because I will propose them classical music in a touching and natural way, without them having to listen to notes academically. It will be open for everybody and I like that. Q: What's your connection with figure skating? K: I think it is a very passionate profession, so is mine. It's also dramaturgy, on the ice you can tell nice stories and show nice dramaturgy. It's the same with music. It's especially interesting that I am not just musical background, but there will be kind of dialogue between the dancers on the ice and the music. I find this quite inventive. Q: Will you be standing on the ice too? K: No, I won't. I am very careful with risky sports. I have a huge sense of responsibility for what I do and my piano and I won't do something that's dangerous. But, I think, in february, after the last show, I might, once at least, try. It would be a pity not to take advantage of the opportunity. Q: With Stephane Lambiel you have a good teacher. What you think? K: Of course, he is very gentle, not aggressiv. I guess he can wait until I can manage to do something. He looks so nice and I think he will be kind enough to show me some movements that do not make me fall. Q: Did you follow his career? K: Not intensively but of course I knew that he was a champion. I watched what he did and it was wonderful. I would not have imagined to have my first experience on the ice together with such great sportsmen and artists. It's an honor for me, I am lucky. And more of it he is nice. It really is a unique package.

My pleasure ... And: Hmm … who knows what the surprise will be? In any case, I guess something quite elaborate. He said during your 'Opera on ice - meeting' that he does not intend to go to Sochi because he had to prepare for AOI. Sounds to me as if he takes it really serious, like others their competitive programs. Good for us !
