Here it is! parlez-moi d'amour in Femina Any chance for a translation to English? It can be translated in Google but I think it would be nice to have a real translation Stéphane Lambiel
L’école Le patineur valaisan a ouvert sa propre école de patinage, The Skating School of Switzerland, à Champéry.

It seems that this small questionnaire "Either-or" that was posted by pia is a small part of a bigger interview - www.bluewin.chStéphane Lambiel: «Schweizer haben Angst zu gewinnen»

Thank you, Gaja, for both interviews! Here is the direct link to the second one: www.bluewin.ch/de/entertainment/das-interview/das-interview-stephane-lambiel.htmlI translated it with Google Translate and really loved his answers. He is so wise, sometimes I feel he is 100 years old. The French one (FINALLY we got it! ) I tried to read without translation, but it was quite hard. Also, I didn't really like the quotes they chose for him... Stéphane is in the "Youth Council" of Lausanne 2020, an article in English about that: www.lausanne2020.com/index.php?lang=english#section-8-21bFrom there: Stéphane Lambiel, two time world champion in Figure Skating and Athlete Ambassador in Innsbruck 2012 is part of the "Sport development" group of the council. He added: "When I was approached to be part of this council, I did not hesitate for one second. Through my role as an Ambassador in Innsbruck, I have seen what these Games can do, not only to the participants, but also to the host region. Today, my biggest wish is that Lausanne could offer the same opportunity to Switzerland." and a photo: pbs.twimg.com/media/CGkG8AjUYAAR7WH.jpg:large Some more off ice photos from Japan: instagram.com/p/3dFJlxuVY2instagram.com/p/3bD9z4uVf9instagram.com/p/3aESDauVSv/instagram.com/p/3L1FiWuVTL/

While I wasn't really a fan of what quotes "Femina" chose for Stephane, I was very impressed by his answers. It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about what he said... While Google Translate gives a rather decent translation, I tried to "clean" it up a bit. My translation is a bit "rough" but I hope it is as close as possible to what Stephane wanted to say. It's "work in progress", I'll try to finish it till the end of the day.

Talk to me about loveSource: epaper.tamedia.ch/Products/FEMINA-FEMINA/20150607/pdf/page58.pdfThe skater, preferred by Romands, is inspired by the famous phrases about the love. Always. "Growing old together is not adding years to life, but adding life to years." Jacques SaloméVery much so. Feeding (investing) in this love makes life more beautiful. If you keep the curiosity, if you share same aspirations, if you remain on the same page, it’s always possible to dream together. It’s difficult, but if you manage to accomplish your wishes, to move forward together even after twenty, thirty or forty years of relations, you harbor yet that same love. "You must learn to leave the table when love is no longer being served, without attaching to yourself a pitiful air, leave without making a noise" Charles Aznavour(Note: These are words from the song “Il faut savoir”, more poetic translation to English: "You've got to learn to leave the table / When love's no longer being served, /To show everybody that you're able to leave / Without saying a word.") I really love this quote but I’m not wise enough to understand it yet (smiles). When one doesn’t love anymore, it is useless to insist. But when there are feelings still and some problem exists, should you close your eyes? It’s not really my case, I’m closer to the explosive side. To stand around doing nothing when something bothers me: impossible! One should be able to talk without being cross, but at the moment I have not yet acquired this temperament. "If money cannot buy love, it significantly facilitates negotiations." Oscar Wilde (Note: Actually when I tried to google it in English, I found a bit different quote and it is not of Oscar Wilde, they probably didn’t make a research on quotes they propose "Money can't buy love, but it improves your bargaining position" source: quoteinvestigator.com/2014/08/05/money-love/ ) Does one have to necessarily negotiate in a relationship? This term is too business-like. I think that one rather should try to find a balance. In love I don’t count, if it’s money, time or emotional investment. It is not something measurable. What truly has a value for me is the intellectual wealth, the ability to be constantly surprised by each other. Together, I like the fact of being able to take some surprising turn at some point. "Of all the ways we have found to hurt ourselves, the worse has been through love." Paulo Coelho(this translation is slightly different from French version, because I found an origin of this quote in English) In love, it’s actually not always all rose, but you need to avoid that it boils down to a series of endless problems. If you feel that the person at your side make you stronger, if his presence is beneficial for you, then this is what’s right. Even if it sometimes makes you suffer, it is what lets you feel alive. "Fantasy love is much better than reality love. Never doing it is very exciting." Andy WarholI think that the most euphoric part of the flirt is not knowing if this going to work or not. This period when one asks loads of questions, when one hopes, it’s very intense. Some are addicted to this feeling of adrenaline. Me personally, I really enjoy to have some stability. Being able to build something together reflects my idea of happiness. Advancing hand in hand is much more exciting. "New person resolves anew the way how tasks are divided: do everything and I will do the rest" Michèle FitoussiAbove all, I think everyone has strong points and flaws. In couple, you need to build on your strengths. The organization of household tasks can quickly lead to conflict. Ideally you need to be clear from the very beginning. In a dream case - which it never is - one should not have to force the other to do a task or another. Luckily, some things come out naturally, it greatly facilitates the daily routine. "The only time a woman can really succeed in changing a man is when he is a baby." Natalie Wood.It is a pessimistic idea. I prefer to think that we, men, same as women, we have an opportunity to learn, to understand, to grow, to adapt at any age. If one stays curious, it’s true for any human being. What’s the point to keep going without opening your eyes to all the [other] things of life? I prefer to stay positive and assert that we manage to still improve with time. You need just to find a way to constantly inspire [yourself].

Greatest thanks, Reut for translation! I always admire how well he expresses himself and ofc how mature his way of thinking is. It's lovely how he appreciates long lasting relationships - it's rather rare in our current world.

Thank you Reut. Finally we have this little interview. You're right, the chosen quotes were rather banal, luckily he's very smart and his answers prove it. It's funny when he says he's closer to the explosive side. He always smiles, he's always so joyful you could think he's a lovely person (and he is indeed!), but on the other hand, he has this strong character that I really enjoy! I mean, this is what makes him so true.

He is polite and very good-mannered, usually, but he is definitely not always all smiles and joy. I even learned a few curses in French "thanks" to him (and it was on Swiss TV!) And he knows quite a few in Russian too. (Doesn't make him less lovely and charming, of course )

jomeku, these are not my "personal" memories. If you join community (and everyone can, there is no pre-moderation), you can read all the details on "t-shot" tag. I didn't share "matryoshka" album here, because Stephane still didn't get his copy, so I didn't want him accidentally to find it before that. P.S. It would be great if you can translate the German interview. I'm sure not everyone used google translate.
