Yes, it's really tempting (and I've never been to Vienna before). And I like this cast even more than the original one even. I'm a bit shocked Stéphane's name is not on the poster. He isn't good enough for that suddenly? Neither have I, that's another reason why it's so tempting. I had the same reaction about the poster. Maybe Plushenko and Carolina are better known than him in Austria? Couldn't find any different explanation in my mind, but still... it would be strange anyway: Switzerland and Austria are so close!

I'm a bit shocked Stéphane's name is not on the poster. He isn't good enough for that suddenly? Either they made a big mistake and just forgot Stéphane's name. Should not but can happen. Or it's really an unforgivable lack of respect towards Stéphane, who does so much for AOI. If Stéphane actually is in the cast at all? O.K. Evgeni certainly is the most known skater worldwide, Tanja and Maxim are reigning olympic gold medalists, Carolina olympic medalist in Sotschi, too. But to not put Stéphane's name on the poster at all? I really hope it's only a mistake ….

Actually, to tell the truth: I'd prefer him not being in the cast than downgraded to the point of not even being mentioned on the poster. Not even in smaller letters what I still could accept. The same for Cappellini/Lanotte, Stolbova/Klimov, Florent Amodio. Shame, shame …!

Oh, no, I prefer him to be in the cast. Because he loves shows and because more of his fans will get a chance to see him.

If it was not AOI and it's producers, I wouldn't care so much. But they DO adorn themselves with Stéphane since so long (rightly so) and then …. O.K., I'm just surprised, disappointed and angry for the moment. But I'll wait and see ….

Got an answer: "Very good point indeed. With such a high class line up, with so many good performers, there are different poster versions. Others feature Stephané of course " sourceStill weird.

Looking at it only from the marketing perspective, the names on the poster are the ones that the average Austrian and Gabalier fan will vaguely remember having heard around the last Olympics. Especially Carolina who grew up not far from the border and even speaks the language. I'm afraid that Stéphane is totally unknown in Austria where figure skating isn't anywhere in the public awareness, the last Olympic medals for Austrians were back in the Sixties and Seventies.
So I hope the show will be a success and many Austrians will get to know Stéphane. (And ofc I secretly hope they will like him better than Plushy ;-))

About the popularity of figure skating in Austria from my You Tube channel view. I have on my you tube channel many videos of shows and competitions since 2009. Access from Austria is very few. And the top ten of which they mostly watched were But I am very positive because I' ve read about shows in which Stéphane skated indeed: At first audience watched normally then OH WOW! Then standing-ovation. And by the way after there I become many clicks on my video. Attachments:

Certainly you are right, inyoureyes, stephanie2006 and pianomaya (Evgeni and Carolina might be/are better known in Austria) and - looking at it only from the marketing perspective - the choice of the names and photos on the poster is 'logical'. But this is a too rational approach for me, I admit . Shall it be as you say, stephanie2006 (that hopefully the show will be a success and many Austrians will get to know Stéphane). And this is good to read, pianomaya: But I am very positive because I' ve read about shows in which Stéphane skated indeed: At first audience watched normally then OH WOW! Then standing-ovation. And by the way after there I become many clicks on my video. .

I'm far from thinking that Stephane is "the one and only", "everyone has to know him", "his name has to be on every poster". But this is not just some show in Austria, this is "Art on Ice", whose headliner he has been for years. Some of you probably noticed that he is not managed by "Art on Ice Productions" anymore, since he has his own company and his own team. But when I asked him about it, he said that they parted ways very amicably and he has great business relationship with Oliver. And, for example, when he started working on "Ice Legends" he proposed Oliver to be a part of it if he wants. And they respect each other. That's why I didn't expect something like this from "Art on Ice" show, even if it's in Austria.

Thank you for the statistics, pianomaya It's surprising for me that my country is in the middle of this summary. Nice to see it Whether one like it or not, it's the fact that Stéphane is "the one and only" for many (including me). He is the one who made me watch figure skating and, unfortunately, almost the only one who gives me pleasure and joy of watching it. So, for me the lack of his name on the poster is not only weird but I found it as a lack of respect. Of course I started wondering what is the reason so I'm glad that you dispelled my suspicions, reut.
