I share your fear, jomeku... Broke my heart to read those words about difficulties to find balance...

It looks like Anna Ovcharova (who is studying film making or something like that) did a film about Mr.Gruetter! Wow, just, wow, I'm so excited she did this and so hope I'll be able to see it. http://instagram.com/p/BoFDXTWhXzk

Just copying it here too, to have his own skating in "his" thread and not in his students' one. Lucky those who saw him practice. I remember in 2011 during Nebelhorn (he was just visiting and cheering for Tania&Max, also, he presented award/medals to winners in men) he also took his skates with him and practiced in the evening and I MISSED THAT!! I remember I was so upset, especially because I saw him just before that and he didn't say anything about it (well, obviously he didn't have to). Glad some fans were lucky this time. And glad to see that he always finds time to work on the ice. Looks like they'll skate "Nocturne" at Japan Open. I'm still puzzled why a day before that he was recalling "Ne me quitte pas". It was on Aljona's Insta stories, someone saved it here:

Oh, those videos are treasures! Thank you taipeifollowers, Reut and Attenais!!! I'm happy to see 'Attenais' is still 'around', with camera . It's such a pleasure to see Stéphane practicing again in Oberstdorf (I keep rewatching rehearsal videos from 2009 - 'Tell' and 'Otono Porteno' - every once in a while (nostalgia ). I'm glad too that he finds the time to practice ... and I think it's a huge honour for him that they give him the time, during the competition. My first thought when I saw him practice "Ne me quite pas" was that this might be foreseen as tribute to Denis Ten during Carnival on Ice? Would be touching.

I am so grateful to Attenaiss for filming and sharing. I think I like watching practices even more than performances. It’s really fascinating to watch, even the parts where jumps weren’t working and he was re-adjusting.
I do wonder about that nmqp...I’d love to see that performed again

Interview with Stéphane from IFP2018 on Youtube, Web Player + Transcript, links here: It's about the changes in the judging system and mainly about his coaching philosophy

I don't know why, but I don't see a link, so here it is just in case: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyYVCi8WMDYAnd the transcript: www.inthelopodcast.com/news/2018/11/29/interview-stephane-lambielLike always I was a little bit anxious if my interview will be repeating things from this one, phew, it won't. Although we both did touch a few topics (Satoko, G&G), but his answers were different, he went to a different direction each time. So interviews will be really complementing. I always wanted to ask him about K&C, especially because he says about himself that you can always see what he feels and thinks on his face. His answer was not what I expected. And, btw, he does "debrief" his students quite a lot, right after the performance, at least from those case when we could hear what he says. And about "Lambiel/Champery branding" I actually think it is working on all the sides of skating, creating complete and harmonious skaters. Just judging by what they actually do - invite dancers and movement instructors and "jump technicians", etc.
