I didn't know it was on but luckily got to see a recording of the programme which highlighted some of the performances at Worlds. There was a interview with Stephane in English too, which was really cute. Shame they didn't mention John Hamer, though. As usual , Sinead & John came across faaaaantastically.

Here's a brief description of the programme for S&J Fans outside the UK: Sinead said she felt more comfortable, and performed the FD "like in practice" and were glad they got a PB - at Worlds! John, said they were glad to be known as a modern couple, as others "looked like they had Tarasova freedances, etc" whereas they prefer to be unique and skate because they "feel it" and "not because they have to get thru someone else's choreo!" YAY! Plus, they knew they were "popular, because we see websites dedicated to us!" The BBC had loads of brief interviews with Spotlight on Skating people saying that the Kerr's were popular in North America. and were unusual, as "Dance is least popular discipline there". A woman from Golden Skate website and various journos, coaches etc, praising the new system, but Gwendal not liking CoP at all, "it is stopping the choreo and concentrating too much on technical elements". But no Jayne T or Robin C doing commentary.

The Spotlight on Skating Ladies were in a very pretty black & white montage to start off with! Their actual comments re the Kerrs were:
Lisa [photographer]: " They're not your conventional Dance Team. I find them irresistable. They make you feel happy after you've seen them. They had people that were applauding and standing for them when they've come to North America, it's very rare, because Ice Dance is probably not as popular as the other disciplines."
Lynn[Editor]: "They break the mould. They bring kind of a new energy. They're just very different. They're kind of a breath of fresh air, and alot of your Canadian and American younger women are really gravitating toward them."

do you know before the program that they will have an interview on bbc or on other chanels? Or is it a surprise? I do if Mel tells us! With the Worlds interviews Helga, it was only when the BBC got to Moscow that they started asking around for people to give positive views and comments about the Kerrs, and also they did some interviews re the introduction of CoP. That was the only programme we got on the BBC on Worlds, so it was good that they devoted most of it to the Kerrs.
