There are few words about Stephane. May be It'll be interesting for somebody.
The news from Dortmund that Klimkin wouldn’t skate his LP was upset not just because we can’t watch one of the amazing skaters. This Ilya’s decision placed in jeopardy that Russia could have 3 skaters for the next World Championship in Moscow.
And now only Plyshenko and Gryazev skated LP. They must take 13 or less points together.
In the morning everything were ok. Gryazev trained good. But in the evening his LP wasn’t excellent. Instead of improving his 8th place after SP Andrey went out from the list of 10 best skaters.
But his LP wasn’t bad. He did his brilliant axel twice and didn’t fall. But there were two the same combos 3A-2t and two doubles instead of triples. After that his marks weren’t good. His marks could be higher but before him Kevin Van Der Perren skated his LP excellent. Andrey’s LP was worse in comparison Kevine’s.
A big load of responsibility was shuffled off onto Plushenko. Mishin didn’t talk to journalists and it meant that there were a big taut nerves. And it seemed that the other skaters from the latest group decided to wear out Plushenko's nerves.
There was amazing show. And show like this hadn’t been for ages. There was no reason to describe all programs – you saw it. Johnny Weir was the first. He was a quite impudent to declare after competitions that Plushenko’s program wasn’t excellent and he (Johnny) would prepare a really good program for the next season. He would just learn guard. And he would make it clear how to skate well.
But in Dortmund not him made the first try to do it. There was Stephane Lambiel. Two years ago he went into the list of the best skaters because his amazing spins and plastic. But many people said that he can’t do anything besides spins and he can’t jumps. But now this problem is solved. In Dortmund his performance was deserved of the gold. His program seemed like a dramatic dance there the all jumps including two guards weren’t important and were done in between times.
His 4th place just meant that Lambiel was sacrificed to politics. There were so many german VIP of sports and politics on the stadium. And not to give the bronze to Stefan Lindemann was impossible. Especially if it is remembered how long there were no german skaters on the podium.
The marks of Joubert were higher then Lambiel’s but I think just because Brian was a Europen Champion. And it proved everybody that namely Lambiel would be a victim.
Lindmann skated brilliantly. And the audience like after Lambiel’s performance was up. The audience paid tribute to Lambiel for his mastery but they paid tribute to Lindemann for his strong character.
If Plushenko didn’t skate well he would risk not to be on the podium. Everybody knew it. And of cause Plushenko knew. He won and It was more then just a victory.
