oh, not ridiculous for him, but just ridiculous in the fact that it's so amazing!!! (still astounding, haha, despite seeing the talent for so many years. I get so disappointed when I watch other skaters, now, and their spins. Haha. He's spoiled me. Sort of like how alexei yagudin spoiled me with the speed of his straight-line footwork... )

Yagudin did have the best footwork, to me - the complexity and the speed to which he executed his moves was astounding. He's my other favourite male skater. (besides Stephane, of course!)

I just can't believe how Stéphane makes such incredible spins, unbelievable beautiful. I wonder how skaters do that ( of course Stéphane's spins are the best )

Same - I wasn't ever really toooo into spins (save for when Todd Eldredge was competing - he had good centering and quick speed, even if his spins were very standard and not too diverse), and then Stephane came along and blew me away. I don't know - for me, the fact that Stephane IS so centered displays a technical achievement and quality that not very many other skaters do. I've seen people argue that Jeff Buttle could be better, but I could never understand that argument - the best spinners are those that are balanced on their blade, completely centered, achieving high speeds and being able to achieve interesting and complex positions while spinning at such a high speed. Jeff has good positions, but sometimes I find his spins too..."awkward"...I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but I don't find enough fluidity between his moves. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
