Ehm, yeah, Stéphane was off in the LP, which was a shame because he landed a gorgeous 3A in the warm-up. It's the first time I saw him pop a 4T the way he did (the 2nd 4T). Overall *I* felt that he wasn't connected with the music like he usually is - you know, that *magical* connection he has. When I told that to people, they didn't agree with me, but well, maybe it's because I've seen 4 Seasons a good 5478034568 times that I felt that way, while others have seen it only once, maybe twice. I don't what happened, according to the newspapers Stéphane doesn't know either... He wasn't happy, of course, but I didn't talk to him at all over the weekend, so I can't say more.
On the other hand, Jamal skated a great free and it was a real pleasure to see him that way. I hope he can keep up like this in the coming weeks, get his 3-3 back and (finally) get his ticket to the Olys in Lyon! HOPP JAMAL!! Sarah had a great skate too. She's miiiiiiiiiiiiles ahead of the other Swiss ladies. The good surprise for me was Noémie Silberer. I mean, I've seen her quite a few times at practice in Geneva, but I only realized this weekend how good she really is. It was such a joy to see her "fly" over the ice like she did after seeing the other girls. She's really talented, so now I hope that she'll get the triple jumps and then IMO she'll be able to go very far. She's exactly the girl Switzerland needs after Sarah, and on top of that she's really really really sweet!
I know I would have much more to comment on, but I have a few other things to do on the comp, so I'll come back later with more details.

Poor Steph... But that´s what sport is about, you know...It is how soon and well you recover from non-succes (well he won, but with not a good result)... Keep your head up, Steph!!

Thanks for the news, Céline (we are all so dependent on you!) Too bad Stéphane didn't have a good LP... But he had a great SP, and is still Swiss Champion! (and World Champion, for that matter!) GOOD LUCK IN JAPAN, STEPHANE !!

The "extra tidbits" I promised, all about men, but yeah, that's the most interesting category, right?! Raphael Bohren wasn't totally clean, but he managed to hang on to the 3rd place. Moris Pfeifhoffer skated a good LP, but that boy has to GET SOME HEIGHT ON THE JUMPS!! He hardly gets off the ice, and in the end all triples look cheated. André Kilchenmann was fun, and he's a good example that there is a problem with PCS. I mean, alright, give him 3.whatever for skating skills, but PLEASE, why not go up into the 5's or 6's for interpretation?! David Pelletier was totally off on the jumps, if I recall it right he popped 4 of them. But his program to Carmen was great to watch, he can definitely keep everybody's attention despite messing up on the jumps. Now, a general remark to all skaters: PLEASE, if you pick Weirskaya's music, you'd better have some energy!! Or if you copy Ira's costume. It killed me. We also had Otoñal, Matrix, Marton and other overused pieces, it was torture to watch those zzzzzzzzzz programs when you have seen those of top skaters (not that all of them were masterpieces either, but still...).
