Thank you so much, Freefall. For those new ones and for the whole list you put together. I greatly enjoy it.
And thanks for the link to the performance of Stéphane and Julie Zenatti. It's the same as on YouTube, but you made the quality a bit better, thanks!
It's good not to rely on YouTube and try to save them on your computer. I once saw a beautiful performance on Time in a bottle - Jom Croce, by Kurt Browning.
Recently I wanted to see it again and searched for it, but I couldn't find it. I looked up the URL in an old mail, because I shared it with someone and when I clicked it, it said that the video was removed. Too bad, because I loved it.
And speaking , off topic? about other skaters, is there a forum about Adam Rippon yet? I think he's the follow up of Stéphane in competition. He really caught me with his performance at the World's. Not as mature as Stéphane, but lot of potential to become an emotional performer.
So thanks for the downloads, and I almost thought you could do anything, but La Traviata apperently needs to be done by someone else. I can't do it, so perhaps someone else can. It will be greatly appreciated.
Salut, Annelfie

So I'm listening to the music of Stéphanes programs on my MP3. Suddenly I hear to collegues talking about the movie Blood Diamond and how impressive it is. So yesterday I went to the...... in dutch we say: videotheek: the place were you rent movies.
I asked the boy for Blood Diamond, he checks, there must be 5 of them and he walks with me to where they should be. He can't find one and I say I can't help him too much because I don't know what it looks like or what it is about. And so I tell him that I only know the music and nothing else about the movie. He says it's impressive and so I tell that I saw a figure Skating dancing to it and now I want to see the movie. He's very polite and smiles and says: not many people rent a movie for that reason. I laughed and said: yes, you can put that on your 'rare-rental-reasons'-list. He couldn't find it, but since you look for empty boxes and then get them filled, he gave me the DVD in a sparebox he had.
Yesterday I watched it, and really, it is impressive. Tomorrow I'll watch it again with the commentary of the director. I love to watch all the features on a DVD.
So you see what Stéphane gets us to do! Thanks for the inspiration!

I liked Ne me quitte pas de Jacques Brel long before Stéphane skated to it. It was lovely to find out he was going to skate to it and I was thrilled how he did it. I heard somewhere people ask Stéphane why he didn't chose another version of the song, for instance an english one: I you go away. I thought: how is it possible that such a suggestion even crosses your mind!! But perhaps that journalist could not speak french and thought the english version would have been more accessable to a great public. But Stéphane answered in his beautiful diplomatic way that that was also an option but that he himself related most to the origional version. He said something like that. And I too, I rarely discover other interpretations I prefer. But once I found on YouTube a video of Gerard Lenorman singing Ne Me Quitte Pas. I like Gerard Lenorman also a lot, although I think he doesn't have the most beautiful voice, he always came up with interesting chansons and lyrics. (he's known from the '70-'80 but still performing and coming to Holland april'11!!) I thought his voice would be totally unfit to sing Ne Me Quitte Pas, so I started watching with a lot of doubts, but wow, did he blew me away with his interpretation!! And since there's many people on this board who are sensitive to daring but very true interpretations, I thought I'd post this link, so perhaps it's a nice surprise to some of you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0Ua__zxhZ0Salut, Annelfie

So you see what Stéphane gets us to do! Thanks for the inspiration! Annelfie This is one of the things I love about being a fan, and chatting on message boards. So many friendships get made, so much gets shared, so many new experiences come to light. It's wonderful beyond the shared love and admiration for Stephane.

Annelfie, thank you so much for the version of NMQP that you posted. It is always a beautiful song, nothing can ever change that, but Gérard Lenorman had kept the sensitivity that this song requires. I was choking on my breakfast coffee listening to it this morning. Gérard Lenorman is unknown to me, time to google and youtube him!

Great topic! I've just created a new playlist on my ipod! Thanks everybody! As I have a problem with old links, could someone give "Un giorno per noi" once more? It's such a beautifull song. If I make it my "alarm song" I won't have a problem with getting up
