The German Skating Magazine "Pirouette" has published a new interview with Stefan in their May/June issue. Stefan talks about the last season (he is quite happy with the way it ended), about the tough time he had, about his plans.

Well I have the full article at home (writing from memory) but the gist is, that he thinks to move from Thuringia to Berlin has benefited him in a big way because now he is in the same practice group as Martin & Peter Liebers and Clemens Brummer. And they can motivate each other during practice as their have a competitive athmosphere in practice too.
Obviously last season didn't turn out has he had hoped due to his illness but he was happy with his showing at Worlds. He says that finally he is on his way back to what he did in 2004. He thinks all these "little" competitions between Euros and Worlds have benefited him in a big way. Even though he can do his programm in practice its not the same as doing in in competition. He did Heiko Fischer Pokal and German Trophy.
He expects to be back in Berlin in early June to get new programms. He his currently doing two month military service. The location is close to Oberstdorf so he can brake in his new skates.
He is currently planning to do Nebelhorn Trophy and if his two Grand Prix assignments allow it Golden Spin as well, since Euros will take place there next year.
Last year the german guys went to a one week trainig camp with Mishin and Stefan hopes that he can go again. If Mishin goes to Spain again in Summer Stefan might do so too.

the top 2 german men in the same city! Actually its the Top You have Stefan, Clemens Brummer, Martin Liebers and Peter Liebers all being coached by Viola Striegler and you have Philipp Tischendorf whos coached by Romy Oesterreich. Don't know if there are many practice sessions where Philipp is on the ice with the others, but from what I am told Stefan and the other 3 are often together on the ice, which has given all of them a hugh boost (their words!)
