i asked it. because there were lots of people on the square waiting for Caro... I guess almost all residents were there and if you add tourists to them that explains why all the streets and the main square were so crowded i can imagine:D Is figure skating so popular in Italy?

Oh no, NO WAY skating is popular! Here it's just soccer, soccer, soccer... But everyone in Ortisei knows Carolina so that's why there were so many people And when I say 'tourists' it's not like they went there just to attend the homecoming celebration. Ortisei is a reknown touristic location which can get pretty crowded in wintertime and summer too. I guess a celebration like that couldn't pass unnoticed so probably many people joined out of curiosity

football my another favorite sport:) thats why i would love to live in Italy, somewhere between Milan and Torino You CAN'T like football!!! I absolutely *hate* it as it seems to be the only existing sport here... there is place for nothing else but football on italian tv (okay maybe there is some for formula1 too... but I hate formula1 as well so it's not good ) I bet if you lived here even for a short time, you'd be sick of football very soon! Nope, it wasn't a surprise, she knew about the celebration a few days before it took place

this celebration was right after the worlds or later? was she then at home already? You're too curious The celebration was the day after Easter if I recall well. It was when Caro finally came home as after worlds she went back to Oberstdorf, did a couple of shows in Switzerland and only on Easter day she was back home. Poor Karel, we hacked his forum yet again!

There isn't any big international airport close to where she lives and she usually flies from/to Munich and then either travels home or to Oberstdorf by car.

Uhm....a curious question from my side....What shows did Caro do in Switzerland? Can't remember where they took place, sorry! But I guess it was some small town cause I'd never heard the name before... could be in the Ticino area but I'm not too sure about it...

It must have been the "Cirque on Ice" show in Küssnacht am Rigi on March 24 and 26. Stéphane had also been invited back in November (and the invitation mentionned Caro), but apparently he had turned down the invitation...
