Last Wednesday we drove 6 hours North from here (well it actually took 8 hours!), to Ashley's family. She is one of my roommates here. We celebrated "Thanksgiving" with her family on Thursday and on Friday we went to San Francisco - such a nice city!! Of course I took photos again! The first two were taken in the back yard of Ashley's house. Great view! And I took the last few out of the car on our way back to Northridge (I was bored). The rest is San Francisco URL hereOh and Lauren wants to go to the Ice show with me!! But I hope we can still get tickets. The show is on Saturday! <edited, because the link didn't work this way H.>

So, we went to the ice show on Saturday. It started at 7 pm. We were there quite early and had time to walk around. I showed Lauren the rink. Evan came across us two times. First I didn't even recognize him. He is so skinny!! Oh, before we left for the gala I received a pm from my friend Karen which said "Let us know if Evan is in a bad mood, LOL!". I wonder how she knew Evan really seemed to be in a bad mood. Didn't look very happy while walking around, and since he was with friends I didn't want to bother him. When the show started Evan appeared very quickly for the opening, did one spin and then left again. We had bought a program before and it said that Evan would skate only one time, at the end of the gala. There were skaters of every age participating. Veryyyy cute kids in Christmas costumes. As I said before, we had VIP seats, first row, so the view was very good. BUT in front of us there was glass (to protect the audience when there is a hockey match, you know) so taking photos seemed to be quite impossible. Without flash the photos ended up being too dark. And when I tried with flash, it reflected in the glass. Then there was an intermission - only 10 minutes. We tried to get out as quickly as we could, and went to the restrooms, where we had to wait..... Afterwards we wanted to buy a coffee. While waiting in line you could see the ice from where we were standing. The show seemed to start again, we thought it wouldn't matter, because we would just miss another children performance. But then... Evan was on the ice. Already??? WTF. So we forgot about the coffee and ran downstairs to our seats. Well so we missed half of his program because it was SHORT! I have to say that I was disappointed. Nobody mentioned before that there would be a change in the plan and that he would skate earlier than planned. While he was on the ice, I tried to take a pic, but it again turned out to be bad and I only caught his back. So the show went on, and there was a girl I really liked, nice jumps and good expression. She looked very promising. Then there were two guys in Evan's age. I liked them both. One of them had really great jumps, fast rotation. Lauren thought he was better than Evan. ;D The final was very nice. Every skater participated, well EXCEPT Evan. Seems he had to leave early, I don't know. I was disappointed, because he was the reason I wanted to see the gala. He seemed not very interested in skating there, and it is his home rink!! Then he had dissappeared so quickly, hm... just not a very nice behavior, imo. But overall I enjoyed the gala. It was very cute and colorful, and there were quite a few talents. Including another girl which had Sasha Cohen's flexibility!! Her Biellmann OMG, fantastic!!

Here are the few photos that turned out OK Cuties!!!! The musical group: Again. I liked them. Fun to watch: Just looks funny: Evan's ending pose: The final: Final. The Asian girl next to the guy in the red shirt was the one that looked very promising: Well, actually you can't see anything on this pic. I took it for Gosia (girl from the BJDG huge Evan fan), because Evan was watching the show for a short time. When you take a closer look at it, you might notice someone standing in the middle with a white jacket. That's Evan, lol.

Yesterday, Lauren and I went to a rock concert in Hollywood. The band "Plain White T's" was playing. They are not so popular, yet, that's why it was a small concert. Though, they have one song playing on the radio and might become famous. On our way to the concert there was so much traffic!! When we passed the Kodak Theatre we knew why. There was the movie premiere of the new "Rocky" (another one? ). Many limos were arriving and the streets were blocked. Well, we went to the concert then. We thought we were late, but the two opening bands hadn't even started yet. Overall I enjoyed the concert. The "Plain White T's" had a few good and a few not so good songs, lol. But actually I enjoyed the second opening band most. Forgot their name, but they were different from what you normally hear. After the concert we decided to walk a little through Hollywood. When we passed the Kodak Theatre again, we noticed that there were many people waiting in front, oh and about 25 stretch-limos. Also TV cameras etc. Apparently the premiere was still going on. So we decided to wait. There were many people in expensive clothes coming out. Women who wore shoes they couldn't really walk in and who had had too many plastic surgeries in their lives, lol. Two or three times someone came outside who apparently was kinda famous because people took photos etc, but I didn't recognize them. After about 45 minutes, I saw that all the waiting people were running in one direction. Lauren said that Sylvester Stallone might be there. I'm not a huge fan of him, and actually have never seen one of his movies but I thought it was kind of interesting to see a "star". So I went closer to the huge circle of people, but couldn't see anything. Then I decided to just walk around all those people and ended up between two cars, well and one of those cars ended up being Sylvester Stallone's. ;D So I was pretty close to him, there were just two bodyguards standing in front of me. The bad thing was that people (mainly big men ) were pushing me all the time and it was impossible to take a good photo. The nice thing was, when S.S. finally turned his head in our direction, the bodyguard in front of me (I actually was face-to-face with him all the time and he had noticed that I couldn't see anything because of those rude men) slightly pushed the two men next to me aside. The result: There was a gap and I could see S.S. in front of me. And I took pictures of course. I have to say, he doesn't look very nice. Plastic surgery, too, I guess. Ten minutes later there was another star I didn't know, but he apparently was the man who had always played Rocky's coach. Took one photo of him. We decided to leave then. Lauren was soooo tired and I honestly was also sick of waiting. Oh on our way back we got lost, but luckily found our home in the end. It just took looooong. Pictures coming soon

Right now it's 0:35 here and I am almost done with packing my stuff. I am a little bit nervous, because our flight to San Francisco was scheduled to leave at 11:11 in the morning and now on the Internet it says 9:30. I tried to call LAX airport a few times but the phone was busy and I couldn't talk to anyone. So, just to make sure, we are leaving at 5:30 in the morning....almost no sleep, but I'm getting used to it, lol. My second flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt still seems to be right. Let's hope it remains...!! Talk to you soon!
