He had no contact lenses for the Sp? How could he skate without them? eeek! well, it explains why he was squinting so much at the score board

most of the skaters don't wear their lenses during their programs... it still has a reason, I don't know it...

I mean, I have glasses, not at all strong, but I cant imagine skating/doing things without them, my sense of distance and space would be so deformed...

i wanted write : it sure has a reason... i dont know!!! i saw tim goebel put his glasses on right after his program, and so did some other skaters too... but i totally agree with you, without them I would feel the same... perhaps they are soo professional that they know where they are exactly on the ice i wish somebody would tell us the answer What about asking it in the general thread too?
