The photo from the above article... by Stefan Berg That seems to be a big problem everywhere. I can't tell you how long Sinead and John's mum & dad had to pay for everything. There was a point where they thought they'd have to quit! S&J had to work at coaching, modelling (lucky to have so many talents) and even actor- doubles to earn extra money to pay for things before they eventually got funded. It's a catch 22. You have to be brilliant to be funded but how do you become brilliant without the help of lots of money? Maybe Adrian could model? Many skaters have that problem... Kristoffer Berntsson says that he is concerned about his skating expenses as Adrian does. I hope that the Swedish Olympic Committee and the Swedish Figure Skating Association will pay them more backing, but I know things don’t easily go well . Japan’s Yukari Nakano, a very talented skater, however, worries about incurring expenses. Her mother made sachets using lavenders from her garden and embroidering Yukari’s autograph and Yukari sold them at the ice show so that she could devote the earnings to her costume expenses . USA’s Jeremy Abbott’s family appeals to Jeremy’s fans to help and support their son by donating to the New England Amateur Skating Foundation and some other skaters have received scholarships from some skating foundations. I hope there will be some good ideas for Adrian. Hopefully the best way is a contact with a sponsor that fall in love with him... just like me ;D ;D ;D Or Melanie’s idea, a model, could be great! I mean it

Well, I don't know the criteria for individual countries but Sinead and John *eventually* got lottery funding, which they really have benefited from, I'm sure. It's worth looking up the Swedish Lottery website and finding out though. The worst they can say is no.

I inquired the Swedish Government, the Swedish Figure Skating Association and the SOK if there were any governmental foundations to help and support an athlete or private one we could donate to Adrian and Kristoffer. And I contacted with Göteborgs Konståkningsklubb about support for Adrian as well. Still, I’ve not received any answers at the moment. I’m afraid Swedish media doesn’t seem to pay much attention to figure skating. Sweden has got a great “Team Surprise” and moreover, considering for the Worlds at Göteborg, the bright expectations of Alexander Majorov and Joshi Helgesson, and OF COURSE, the achievements Adrian and Kristoffer have accomplished recently , I supposed it could have been gaining in popularity as it used to be! COME ON, Adrian!! You’ve got a gift. You DO ! Show them what you can do!!!

Actually I thought of that ^^ earlier today when I met my neighbour outside. He's the press chief at SOK and maybe I can be very sweet and ask him if SOK can increase the money for Adrian Ahem... Lottery fundings you said? Here are 2 interviews made by SVT just before Worlds svt.se/svt/play/video.jsp?a=1089208www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN0m2CKxiFkLove the moonwalk LOL
