By now most of us know what happened, but in case someone's missed it,; Adrian had to withdraw from the Nordics. This is what he said and what was in the Nordics report called "A small crowd can make a lot of noise" on the Absolute Skating home page: “My boot came apart during practice last night”, he explained. “I was wondering why it was so hard to do the flip and Lutz; now I know. I'll be fine in a few days, but I have to buy new boots and break them in. I don't know how long that will take, but I've cancelled my participation in the Challenge Cup, I need to concentrate on getting ready for Worlds”. New boots will be ordered from Canada, the biggie will be breaking them in so they feel comfortable before Worlds. Lycka till, Adrian

Hahaha! That's my Adrian Schultheiss. I'm fond of his attitude toward to his work and life. And I love the way he is. That's really good to know. Thank you for the interesting interview with him, Magdalena. I was able to get rid of my negative views at last, thanks to this article. Sad to say, he has suffered one blow after another, more's the pity, since he underwent an operation for a left foot injury in summer. I wish I could take away all those difficulties that he is dealing with... But it was pretty nice to figure out what has bothered his skating so far. It will be a new start with new boots! Knowing him, I'm sure he will overcome a hurdle in his life and turn things around, and then everything will go well with him. I believe in him. He is strong and a hard worker. So, he will certainly engage and win the hearts and minds of people throughout the world in March. Have no fear! Be happy, Adrian. There is no one who can give me a thrill or delight me with a performance except you. Nobody can replace you. You are always my champion!! GOOD LUCK ADRIAN!

Adrian and other skaters were chased all through the competition by these cute little autograph hunters. They usually came in groups, sometimes of 7 or 8, but Adrian was never too busy to sign their programs or note books. Actually all the skaters I saw were very nice to the little ones and took time for them. Such good role models!
