For those who have LiveJournal (I know some do) a syndicated feed was created, so now you can see Stephane's blog in your Friends list (wasn't I dreaming about this, like, for years? ). syndicated.livejournal.com/lambiel_blog/profile(the FAQ about syndicated feeds: www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=137)Thanks to iskola for creating the syndicated feed and to Stephane's site's crew for the creation of RSS feed itself. The last thing which is left: many-many entries in this blog. I really hope Stephane will have enough experiences and impressions to write about also after the Worlds.

Thanks Lamar Muse. My avatar picture was taken by my partner at SoI. She takes way better pictures than me. It's Shen and Zhao. Question about these RSS feeds- is the feed on the news page the same as the one on the journal page? Or are there two different feeds to subscribe to? Wicked, Your partner is really gifted. I wished I had her talent.

I am at last back home The journal is a great idea! You know to be honest I didn't believe that he would really start it. But reading the first records I got the feeling that Stephane feels a little bit uncomfortable writing this journal - it's a new thing for him, maybe he just needs to get used to this and will soon feel completely free to share his feelings and impressions, but right now I feel like it's not easy for him to find the words

freefall, it's not easy for him also because he is writing in English, I think. I tried to write blog in Hebrew, which is for me almost like my mother tongue, I think and dream in this language and I speak fluently, but still it was hard to write and express myself in it in blog.
I hope he feels comfortable enough to continue with it...

Freefall, I quite agree with you; Stephane seems a bit stiff up to now - but it's absolutely understandable! Even writers begin their works with some stiffness and hesitation, and sometimes it's also clearly felt. Reut's observation is very shrewd. To express oneself adequately in a foreign language is not the easiest thing. I noticed when practising Spanish and English for keeping blogs that writing in another language adds something new to your own personality: you become a bit different. It's totally exciting! And this is why I do hope that Stephane would go on with his Journal (a sweeter word for me than "blog")

I just hope that to write a journal is his own decision and not a demand of his management - basing on his first entries I haven't yet got the feeling that he truly wants it himself writing in another language adds something new to your own personality: you become a bit different - exactly my story

As someone who has blogged, I know that you always start out tentative and unsure of what to write. As you do it you gain confidence and develop your own voice. I think Stéphane will only get better.

Honestly, I don't think he is the kind of person that you can force to do something that he doesn't want to do...! I think that he simply wanted to share something more, (small fragments of his life ) with his fans.

A new entry is there: www.stephanelambiel.ch/journal/?p=212And to the discussion above: I really don't think someone can make Stephane to write this blog. First, I agree, it's not so easy to make him to do something he doesn't want. Second, I don't see any reasonable explanation why they would need this. Journal is a nice thing, but Stephane is very popular without it too. Third, what he writes there is cute, but rather simple, I really don't see how it can be used by his management for some promotion or advertisment or anything else.

That's really wonderful! And he's supporting such a worthy cause.
A friend of my parents is doing something similar. He used to pay a monthly fee for parking his car at his workplace. Since he's retired, he decided to spend this money for supporting a little girl in Africa (Ethiopia, if I remember correctly). Once in a while the girl is sending him some little thank you letters. That's really touching.

Thanks for the news on the Livejournal feed. As a native English speaker (and an English teacher) I think Stephane's level of English on his journal is excellent. Long may it continue!

Thanks for the news on the Livejournal feed. As a native English speaker (and an English teacher) I think Stephane's level of English on his journal is excellent. Long may it continue! Yeah, that was formal writing, I even sensed some business English style, lol. But there's no way that the style of one's journal could differ that much in 'a couple of weeks'(days, actually), so I believe that he...perphaps copied something from the leaflets, etc. ;D Anyway I like it.Stephane you're great!<3
