AOI seems like such a great show and i'd love to see it live next year. however, i have absolutely no idea what my plans for the next february are or who of my friends will agree to go with me so i don't wanna rush ahead too much to get the tickets.... are many people buying tickets so much ahead though? seeing as many of you are already thinking about it because if it figures i do get to go, i'm afraid i'll be stuck with bad seats or is it still possible to get decent seats just a month or two before the show?

Kallianna, I wouldn't exactly count Lausanne as "easy to meet him"... long waiting on a freezing cold parking lot to see him rushing by or stop for a very short time - and this over several years - I hope you had better experiences. I'm not saying Zurich is easier. I just don't want to see people travelling here from other continents and then be disappointed. There are no official autograph sessions like at Thin Ice. But the show is worth coming anyway!

But the show is worth coming anyway! +1 Kevinbw, upnights - would be great to meet you in Switzerland next year! The last two years we organized usually in Zurich a meeting for AS members and other Stéphane supporters immediately after the Saturday afternoon show as stephanie2006 mentionned already. In March shared our impressions till the first people have had to leave for the evening show. Sometimes it turned up that those who haven't ticket for the evening show (again) went eating something together. And after the evening show those who didn't have to hurry to catch a train stayed together one more time. In Lausanne I tried also to organize a little get-to-gether after this show I attended. (This year it was after the show on Monday and the years before it was after the wednesday show.) Though in Lausanne this get-to-gether takes always part in the front of the arena and specially this March it was very cold there and I met really not many people... . In March I attended the first time a show in Zurich as well as in Lausanne. If you have a chance to take part in both shows, then try to do it. As Kalianna already mentioned, tickets for Lausanne are cheaper then in Zurich. In the last two years I even have choosen the cheapiest category for Lausanne. In March our seats have been in the middle of the tribune with a backstage view. That was not so bad specially considering the price - value quotient and having seen the entire show already from good seats in Zurich, it was definitely a nice experience.

*puts two cents in...* I for one have never been to the lausanne show. I heard its actualy not heated The first time i went to AoI was in 2008. I had won tickets for the 2nd row. You can tell I was VERY excited about beeing so close...But actualy I could hardly see something due to the row in front of me and to this small wall with all the sponsor adverts on it The next year (I was a fan of stephane by then,of course ) I wanted to go again but really didnt want to spend SO much money for seats where I cant even see the skaters jumps properly. So I had seats around row 30,in the middle of the arena...and I LOVED it ! I could see all the jumps, light effects (which i could not see at all the first time) face expression of the skaters...It was alot better About meeting Stephane..Well,last years I just had luck at the gate, where the skaters enter and leave (outside the venue) This year i decided to wait a little at the Swissotel (where all skaters are staying) to see if i had any luck with other skaters or David Garret (who was staying there as well) But,after I waited there for some mins, and got to know two very lovely fans, the security guy (or whatever he was) asked us in a very nice way (not : if we were guests here..Of course I said no (do i look stupid enough to spend so much money for a night at this unfriendly weirdo hotel ? ) so we were thrown out...Yeah great, friendly service for "normal" humans ;D well,at the end I met stephane and got my signature from David without the "help" of swissotel ;D Sorry for rambling, and if i was a little harsh...Just my 0,2$

About Zurich vs Lausanne: if you can choose and the difference in price is not that important then I'd advise to go to Zurich. It has much more effects, lights, different things on the stage, etc. Lausanne's show is more simple. If you want to feel the difference between "AOI" and any other skating show, to understand why it is so special, go to Zurich. About places: I watched from very different ones, and you always have something different to see. From higher places you can see the whole "ornament", "pattern" of the stage+ice. For example, this year there was this "Art on Ice" sentence written on the ice by Kurt. It looked much better from the higher places. Or, when Stephane skated there was his new logo on the ice. I'd advise, if it's possible, to go to this show at least twice: one time closer to the ice, to see skaters, their faces (to clap their hands in the end ), second time a bit higher. In general there are so many things going on that in one show you usually miss something. About how much in advance you should buy tickets. This year it was anniversary, something special, maybe that's why the show was sold out very quickly, but I think the earlier the better. My friends bought their tickets at the end of December (while shows were a month later than usual, because of Vancouver), and they already couldn't find two seats one near each other.

I agree with everything reut said. To see the show from different seats is like seeing another "movie" each time. I need at least one show to film and one to watch only. Overall I prefer Zurich because of the AS meetings, public transport, sound quality, heating, and the audience beeing there on time. However as estephania mentioned the behind stage seats in Lausanne are also fun and not so expensive.

It would be great to meet up with you, estaphania, and kevin, and others who can make it.
Does anyone know if the Lausanne tickets go on sale much later than the Zurich tickets?

Yes, Lausanne tickets go always on sale later then those in Zurich. Don't know exactly why, but can imagine that they have first to know more about the cast as the szene is not always on the same short side of the rink.
